They are samsung diodes now I do believe

They quit making these with the good 301B diodes for some reason. I got a pair of these; the Pro series and they did have 301B and work pretty well. You may have to look on Ebay if you're wanting the Pro series of these lights to get the 301B diodes, but they are not going to be cheap.

Q: the 1000 says 6ftx6ft coverage at 24 inches. Can anyone confirm this? The last light i got didn't come close to it's coverage claim

I wouldn't use the 1000 for anything more than a 2x2 section. This light is enough for one plant.
