Seems well-made and works great with my LG Blu-ray burner.
Works great with my LG Blu-ray burner but I'm really pi#*ed that PC manufacturers are abandoning an optical drive bay as a default feature. So, this external drive is a terrific option if you gotta have a DVD or Blu-ray device attached. Mine is connected via USB 3. I leave it powered off until I need to use the drive. Noise level is zero except when I'm burning a disc.

Great product, great customer support
Since most modern PC cases don't have spots for external 5.25" drives anymore, I needed something that would allow me to keep using my optical drive. This is a great product. It's well designed, and fits my Pioneer BDR-212 which is too large for a competing brand's model.I can safely recommend this product based on build quality, but also on the manufacturer's customer service. When I was installing my drive in the enclosure, I accidentally pinched one of the wires on the SATA power cable and damaged the shielding. I emailed Vantec and received a prompt response, followed by a free replacement SATA cable.For what it's worth, I definitely recommend the product as well as the manufacturer. Just be careful not to pinch the wires as you install!

MakeMKV beast.
Works great. Only had one hiccup so far that was fixed with a reset. So far I've ripped 25 movies with make mkv and I was able to flash my drive with this enclosure as well. Setting it was a breezeBurn rate is awesome too. Almost hit 8.0x ripping 4k's. Now I gotta upgrade my nas

Solid, with minor cabling issue
The drive enclosure is solid, the weight is reasonably heavy, the screw fits the hole well. The one thing may get you into installation difficulty is the come with drive's data and power cable are in one piece which is NOT as show as separate cables in the sales pictures. This cause me extra effort in separating(cutting) the cable into 2 pieces - resulting one of the cable ended up unusable.

Perfect fit
Vantec always makes nice stuff. Super simple to assemble and shows up in windows 11 like it was meant to be. I even reused a 15 year old Blu-ray burner and it works like it was brand new. It looks the part too, very nice finishes you would expect from Vantec.

Can't beat a full size drive.
This is a really nice case. These can get pricy, but honestly there's no reason to pay more for one. Strudy and runs completely cool.I was using a little USB drive, but nothing beats a full size cd drive in my opinion.
