Great product
Nice quality. It will be nice if they add shrinking tube to make your cables much secured

Plugs that match their reputation
Neutrik plugs are supposed to be the best. My boutique pedal mentions Neutrik jacks in the specs and the Mogami cables I have been coveting for months but couldn’t afford boast Neutrik plugs. So when I decided to make my own guitar cables using bulk Mogami instrument cable bought by the foot, I of course chose Neutrik plugs. The NP2 professional plugs come in two varieties: Straight and Right Angle. I bought both but this is review is of the straight plug.Straight plugs are mostly used on guitars that have the jack entering the guitar at an angle. The plug will often be slightly counter sunk and angled between 30 and 45 degrees. The fender Stratocaster is a good example. This is mainly to reduce stress on the guitar and limit the chances of the jack being damaged. The straight plug is also the most commonly used to plug the end of the cable that hooks up to your guitar amp.AssemblyI was impressed with these plugs’ construction. There are four pieces: the plug, a cylindrical body, a cylindrical collar that sits inside the plug over your solder work and the back of the plug that incorporates the plastic/rubber cord protector. The only thing to remember is to slide the back of the plug on the instrument cable before you start soldering.Afterwards, the assembly is simple. The plastic collar has a slot along one side and you simply clip it over the wire and slide it up around your solder work. Take the metal cylindrical body of the plug and slide it over the front of the plug. It locks into place and covers the plastic collar. Now slide the threaded rear end of the plug over the plastic collar and screw the threaded section into the metal body. It is quite hard to screw all the way in but the plugs are really tough. As you tighten the back the collar inside, clamp the cable from behind your soldering work so there is no chance of the connections being pulled or twisted apart.ConclusionThe trickiest part of the whole process was the soldering. It really helps to have a helping hand/third hand gadget. I used a stand with arms and a magnifying glass to hold my wires for me. If you want one, just search for helping hands on amazon. They are cheap but if you already do soldering you probably have one already. My cables work wonderfully with these plugs. I did get a really good double shielded Mogami cable which helps. But the plugs themselves are very well made and fit very snugly into the sockets on my guitar, amp and pedals with a solid snick/thunk sound and do not pull out easily. The connection is rock solid with no buzzing and I feel very confident that they won’t come undone. After using them for a few weeks I can definitely see why they are so highly regarded.I highly recommend them.

Great design!
These are high-quality and have a great design. My only complaint is that the hole is too small for speaker-gauged wire. For instrument-sized wire, these are good, but maybe a little too girthy.

Simple and secure
After using these once to replace a cable jack with a broken solder, I’ll use nothing else. These are clean looking, easy to solder, and a quality build.

Rugged, durable
These are solid connectors, as you would expect from Neutrik. They come with an internal cable "clamp" that bites down onto the cable to protect the solder joint when the cable gets tugged/stepped on. Be aware though, that they're not intended for thick cable (e.g. Mogami) and you may have difficulty getting the flexible bushing to seat properly. With a little muscle I was able to get mine together, but had if I was making more than 2 patch cables, I wouldn't buy these tips AND the Mogami cable.

Fix that flimsy Rocksmith cable!
I have read many reviews of people's Rocksmith cables going back pretty quickly. Rather than spend $30 to get a replacement cable, I spent $30 to buy everything i needed to fix the problem! Many good videos on how to solder the connections. I do agree with others that the internal connections you are soldering to are hard to reach unless you have a sharp pointed soldering tip and pretty thin solder. Also, smart to buy something to hold the pieces in place. The plug does not come with any instructions but you can find them via google. Once i finished the job, i put everything together and cranked up Rocksmith and I was shocked how much of an improvement it made. No more annoying hum or trouble tuning to different tunings. Very happy with this part and will buy another one when my other Rocksmith cable starts giving me trouble...

Prompt delivery, works great!
Discovered the plug end for the sustain pedal of my Yamaha digital piano had been smashed at school. Thankfully my husband knew just what to order and how to attach it. Three days later I'm back in business with a fully functioning pedal. Thank you!
