Improved and supports my.eyesight
Not every supplement will work for everybody but this one has worked for me. I have poor eyesight in my right eye since young and I work a number of hours in front of a computer. I started to get eye strain on a regular basis and tried this supplement. I will not go without this supplement now and I do not get eyestrain anymore.

Not sure about these.
I have an eye condition and thought these might help. The jury is still out as not sure if they are actually doing anything but worth a go. Nothing to lose. Quite big to swallow and says they have to be taken with food. As I often forget to eat, then I forget the pills. May be an own goal but what have I got to lose.

One of the cleanest eye supplements & your daily dose of Lutein & Zeaxanthin
I've taken eye supplements for the last couple of years now, ensuring I get a good measure of vitamins each day to help maintain good vision. Although I don't have any macular degeneration I feel it's good to look after your eyes, especially if you work in front of a computer every day like me. Although I can't say if my eyes have improved since taking it (it's really hard to tell the impact of it due to its long term effectiveness) I purely go off what's in the supplement. The price is also very reasonable for a 2 month supply! There aren't many eye supplements that base their formula on the AREDS2 study, so I found this intriguing. 10mg of Lutein and 2mg of Zeaxanthin is a sufficient amount each day so this eye supplement fits my needs. However, it's the additional ingredients that I like that go the extra step to not only fight macular diseases but also help other parts of your eye, like the bilberry extract, vitamin C and more.I also trust Pure Optical, I found their website and they're a trusted contact lens brand serving what seems thousands of customers in the UK. They seem to have created one of the cleanest & pure eye supplements without all the weird 'other ingredients' that most other eye supplements do.

No concerns to date
I was a little concerned, some reviews mentioned possible nausea, well none here so far! There is a “one star’ review that mentions the relatively high Zinc content, more than the accepted RDA, well that’s the point, the AREDS2 research deliberately chose a significant dose of Zinc and it is at that dose level that benefits are show (some competitor products have double the quantity of Zinc). Further- there are established medical uses for Zinc (e.g. used for 40 years for treatment of Wilson’s disease) in significantly higher doses. If this concerns you discuss it with your ophthalmologist.

includes zinc oxide - not suitable for me
I purchased this product because the optician who tested my eyes saw the very beginning of dry macular disease. They supplied a 30 day pack of tablets and when they were used, I looked online for a less expensive option. The "Eyesight+" tablets formulae suggested it contained the isuplements currntly recommended to slow the progression of sight loss (AREDS 2) After a time I became ill with stomach cramps, nausea and diarrhea. It took some time before I associated it with this product - then I recalled the side effects listed in the information list included similar symptoms. I stopped taking these tablets and within 2 days felt better and no symptoms have recurred. After a bit of research it seemed that the ingredient zinc was the culprit - especially the cheapest form - zinc oxide. It has been impossible to find an AREDS2 tablet with the kinder formulae of zinc. I have gone back to the original more expensive tablets, they also contain zinc oxide but in a much smaller amount than recommended as a minimum dose and I supplement this with a vitamin tablet that contains zinc citrate which is much kinder on the digestive system. I understand not every one has this reaction and I am not suggesting anyone else should do what I do - but this is just my personal experience.

Severe side effects.
I have only been taking the Areds 2 for nine days but am having really horrible side effects.Severe headache, loud tinnitus, wheezing, feeling weak, itchy, and fatigued.I never expected to have any side effects to what seemed like a harmless preparation.
