BOYA Desktop Gooseneck Condenser Microphone 18" Podium Microphones with Base LED Indicator XLR Mic for Meetings Video Conferences Streaming Lectures BY-GM18CB

I have used Shure gooseneck mic before. I needed additional one and I did not wanted to spend new higher price of Shure gooseneck that I had bought previously. I am glad I bough this one because sound quality is equal if not better.My only complaint is it says 18" long but when I compared side by side with Shure 18" gooseneck it was longer at least by 2 to 3 inch if not more. So, I am not sure how BOYA measures 18" ?I love the On/Off switch on my model with light indicator; which my Shure does not have. It's an excellent troubleshooting feature to know if mic is getting power or not and the fact that mic is on.I highly recommend this product but make sure to get the correct model, GM18CB There is another model, GM18C; which one of my friend bought and I tried it out and it does not work well. That model had blue color neck just before end of mic.One minor issue I noticed when one specific individual talks there is follow up base hissing sound. Not sure why that is happening. But, same mic another individual uses to lecture and it works perfect.

Simple- Excellent. Wanted an easy to use, flexible, high quality sound mic with a solid base for use on different podiums and the BOYA delivered on all fronts. The condenser mic is one of the very best I've ever used, and I've used a lot. Can't beat it at this price point! I bought and tested several in this price range and this one was hands down the best. It breaks down and stores in its' box easily / nicely. Battery life is good, but be sure to always carry extras! It will not slip off podiums. It has a simple lighted on-off button. I have run with various PA speakers and it works great. I waited to write this review for 6 months and all is still excellent. In fact I think after seeing it in action a number of other people have purchased as well.

I have revised my earlier review, which was in error. I thought the mic was defective, but it wasn't. The amplifier I was using had an unusual way of turning on the phantom power this condenser mic needs to operate (you could only turn it on with the companion phone app, not the amp itself.) When I was able to turn on the amplifier phantom power for that channel with the app, the mic worked fine.My only issue was the slight pop when you pressed the button to mute the mic, but otherwise, it worked as designed.I have changed my rating from one star to four stars. They lost the fifth star because the Boya website does not offer any useful help, in my opinion. Clicking on the manual download icon renders you nothing, so I could not troubleshoot the mic. There is no Q&A section. The simple instructions that come with it are useless. When I clicked on chat, I got a bunch of Chinese in response. The numbers to call apparently are Chinese as well.Fortunately, when I figured out how to work the phantom power, the mic worked, but I sure hope it keeps working because getting support from the company on this device if it gives you trouble is a long shot.

It just never worked, tested many times, other mics work, this one is just garbage, the problem is, I tested it months after purchased it. So, surprise, I cannot be refunded...Please dont buy!! I feel scammed.

I originally was going to order a more well known brand for sure, but unexpectedly happy with the quality and features of the Boya gooseneck microphone with base. Switch on bottom of bass allows for multiple setup features. Quality of audio is very good. Definitely worth a try if you are considering a gooseneck mic

I got this mic for a low budget production show. I needed a podium mic. I have used Shure and Sennheiser goose neck mics before and was worried about the quality of this mic. But WOW. It sounds great. The other cheaper options I have tried before were terrible and has little mid and low range. This one was very close to a professional podium mic. Love it! And the fact that you can use phantom power OR battery.... awesome! Worth the money!!

Good product but you must have additional chord and speaker. Nothing documented about this in information. This makes it much more expensive.

I own a AV business an this is perfect for what we do. I own 20 of them an they sound great work great an look professional.
