I used these in my boat; it doesn’t take much oil to go right through. I was expecting, well, more.

Great size and great absorbency. Placed under my classic car leaky transmission and towel absorbed it all. Able to pick up towel and properly dispose of without a leaky mess. Just a quick wipe of my drip pan and ready to go. So much easier than cleaning up the pan.

Really should have used oil absorbent rags years ago! For oil changing jobs or any job dealing with oils they make life so much “cleaner”! Old rags help but oil absorbent rags keeps the job so much neater.

My rear axle seal gave up the ghost on my 1993 Ford F-150. That meant draining the pumpkin (differential), and if you don't know, that's quite a messy job. I also had to clean the entire brake area, as oil had seeped into the drum and contaminated everything. I'd have to use a lot of brake cleaner, and even though I used a tin foil baking pan to catch most of it, these pads were under the pan. Same with anything else where other fluids could drip on the floor.Overall, these pads worked well. Each pad is serrated if you prefer a 7" X 8" section. I wanted a slightly bigger pad, but this seems to be the common size not only in this brand but others. You can probably get a few uses out of one pad provided it's not soaked.

Very thin. They absorb ALL liquids, including water and coolant as indicated. There are ones that absorb oil based fluids ONLY, so shop carefully. High price for a niche product.
