Good Introduction
This is a lovely set of 5 Step 1 & 2 books, perfect for Disney Princess lovers learning to read.My daughter has always struggled with her reading and it's been difficult to find things she can read and enjoy while at the same time giving her a little challenge.Step 2's pages are not filled with a ton of text so they don't overwhelm but are beautifully illustrated which help keep my daughters attention. Two of the Stories at the beginning are Step 1 and contain very little words making it easy to read and for those already on step 2, they are good for a little confidence boost. A with Step 2 the illustrations fill the pages and are iconic from the movies. The story's are sweet and delight my daughter making them easier for her to read as they are of interest to her.The books themselves are simply made and may not last with alot of use or abuse but are still pretty good for the price point. All in all I will continue to purchase these types of books.Hope this review is helpful ^_^

Nice Collection
This Princess Story Collection is a nice way to add to your collection of Step into Reading books in an inexpensive way. I reqested this book from my local library to see what books were included. I am now here to purchase it for my daughter. It is a nice collection of 5 of the Step into Reading Early Readers. You get five Disney Princess books for the retail price of two if purchased individually. The books included are:"Cinderella's Countdown To The Ball" Step 1,"Friends For A Princess" (Snow White) Step 1,"A Pony For A Princess" (Belle) Step 2,"Surprise For A Princess" (Sleeping Beauty or Briar Rose in this book) Step 2,and finally "A Pet For A Princess" (Jasmine) Step 2.I just wish Ariel was included in this collection as she is my daughter's favorite but she still loves the other princesses as well. She is only 4 and can't yet read them on her own but they are subjects that interest her. These books have one to two sentences per page and after I read a page I have her point out to me one of the words I read and have her either tell me what it starts with or how to spell it. She enjoys this.My first grade son also enjoys the Step Into Reading books as well and they help encourage him to read. The Step Into Reading books have lots of books on the latest movies my kids enjoy so it is fun for them to "read" about subjects that already interest them. There is a Disney/Pixar Step Into Reading Story Collection to be released in August 2008. I hope they make more of these collections. I hope this information has been helpful.

Step Into Reading is my second favorite series (my favorite is Reading Adventures)
Step Into Reading is my second favorite series (my favorite is Reading Adventures). The I Can Read series is WAY too complex and the stories are far too long. And World of Reading is the worst! WAY too long and the Pre-level 1 books are like a level 2 Step Into Reading (with words like "Sparklizer" and "Glo-Bo"). An I Can Read level Pre-Level 1 is about the same as a Level 1 Step Into Reading. Step Into Reading books are still a bit too long for their level, and some of the words are a bit too difficult for their level, but for the most part, are right where I would expect a book in that level to be. There are far more Step Into Reading books than just about any of them (very, very few Reading Adventures sets, which is a shame because they're the best). The Step Into Reading books are engaging, fun, and level-appropriate. I love that there are so many Disney ones. Definitely good, better than most, but not great.

Learn to read
This is a great book for the little ones who can't read as well as the new reader. Our toddler loves the princesses and love the illustrations in the book. After reading with her she can remember some of the words and will say them while pointing to the word as we read together. Worth purchasing.

Great compilation for beginners
I like how there are increasing levels of reading in one book. My daughter reads one unlit she has mastered it and then moves on to the next.

Great read for bigginer girly girls
My little sister loves this book. The stories are about the princesses but they're not the main story. If I recall correctly, each story had the princesses doing a task and overcoming it. Granted, it was a big life changing task but more like chores. It's a good read for beginner readers that are real girly girls.
