Q: What can be used to clean the tank on the fogger?

A thorough washing of the tank following each use is highly recommended. You can use a simple mixture of mild detergent and water. Be sure to flush the tank with clean water three times after using the detergent mix, then run the fogger for one minute with the meter in the OFF position (no fog) to remove any liquid in the nozzle. Please refer to the manual for other cleaning and care instructions.

Q: What kind of personal protective equipment should I wear?

Personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements include face masks, gloves, protective clothing, eye goggles and respiratory equipment. Always check the safety requirements on the formulation label of the product you are planning to use with your Hurricane fogger and wear the specified PPE. Be sure to wear your PPE every time you use your machine and take precautions to prevent other adults without appropriate protection, children, or animals from being exposed to or near the fogger or the droplets produced while it is in use.

Q: What is the equipment noise level? Is hearing protection needed?

The Hurricane Ultra II operates at 76 dB, which is below the level where hearing protection is required. However, we still recommend using hearing protection while you operate your fogger, especially if you're working in enclosed spaces or for prolonged periods of time.
