Let me help you out & save you tons of time... I spent HOURS online researching for the best, most cost effective mattress topper & I kept coming back to this one. I also checked the consumer reviews website as I do before I make any big purchases & this rating was high. I knew to not get anything less than 3", really 4" high, since over time you would have no benefit.The first hour I received this, it was already on my bed & it was so incredibly comfy. Everything is at first though, right?! I didn't realize it then but as the days go by this just gets better & better & better. I suffer from fibromyalgia & insomnia and was desperate to find something, anything, that would help instigate & sustain a better night sleep for me.I am still bewildered some mornings when I wake up with zero lower back pain & less aching in my body. If for some reason this one ever wears out or is destroyed, I would pay twice the price for another one. That is how much I love this thing!!Unlike some of the other mattress toppers I've had, this one does not move during the night nor does it move when I slide off my bed in the morning. With many others I have owned, I have constantly needed to readjust or pull more to one side or pull it back up to the top of my bed. I have none of that hassle with this. It stays completely put. This mattress topper is all one piece and is exactly like a mattress pad only everything is built nice & tidy into this one piece and you put it on just like you would a fitted bed sheet. So you would put this on first, then make your bed as you normally would with your sheets, blanket, comforter. There is no need for a mattress pad as this is all in one piece already. So when I first put this on my bed, I looked at it & figured the reviews I read lied!! LoL! I didn't believe something that looked so simple, could provide such comfort. I was so so wrong & this is one time I am ecstatic to be wrong!!I wouldn't hesitate for a second to buy this. If you're on the fence about it, just know I did hours of research & have been using this now for over a month & I am in love!! This is hands down, one of THE BEST products I have ever purchased for myself! There is no reason to stay on the fence... I'm telling you, if you're looking for a better night sleep, more comfort at night or both, this is exactly what you need!

First of all, wow!! The level of comfort I experienced last night was incredible. I slept so well that I woke up before the sun came up AND I have zero back pain. A little background is needed- I’m 5’5” and my partner is 6’6” so my space on the bed is usually quite small. I’m a waitress so I’m on my feet for 12 hours a day and I have extreme back pain every morning to the point I almost can’t walk. I read the other reviews for this mattress topper and they were pretty mixed, but I wanted to give it a chance anyways. This review will try to hit all the points that the negative reviews seem to miss out on because people are just complaining with no solutions.Okay so first- start with an OK/Good mattress. I have a hybrid mattress so it already has a good foundation but it’s just not soft enough for me to sleep on my side the way I like to. That brings me to my second point- learn the different types of memory foam toppers based on your sleeping position. This is listed as a type for any type of sleeper (shocker) but really it’s so soft that it’s probably best for side or stomach sleepers.THE SMELL- okay so one negative thing I kept reading was about the chemical smell. This IS A BIG ISSUE! This is the one and only reason I rated this a 4 not a 5. Let me give some solutions to this though. Find an area in your house/apartment where you can open some windows when you unbox this. Lay it flat to let it expand and lay dryer sheets all over it. Leave it there for a few hours and let your fan run if you can. The smell WILL fill the room and it IS unpleasant. Give it time to air out though. The next thing I did was put it on my mattress and cover with a mattress protector, leaving the dryer sheets in between. On top of that, put the pillow top cover over and make your bed with fresh sheets. The smell has completely been contained and I slept just fine all night! Side note- the foam part is NOT 4 inches but when combined with the pillow top, it is definitely 4 inches.I recommend this for someone who needs immediate relief from back pain. It’s worth the extra money. Take extra care for the smell and then enjoy your sleep!

When I bought my bed 4 years ago, I wanted the firmest mattress I could find. My husband says it's like sleeping on a board! I loved it...until I fell down in December. I fell again in January and that fall resulted in sciatic problems. I've been to three doctors for help. I was not sleeping at night and even laying on the couch did not provide much relief. I was going to buy a new mattress until I thought about looking for a mattress pad first to see if that would work. My bed is one where you can raise the head and foot portion. I didn't see any comments anywhere about any pads being used on that kind of bed. I liked the promo for this pad and thought I would give it a try. AM I EVER GLAD I DID!!! THIS IS A LIFESAVER! I'm sleeping 5-7 hours each night. No bones or joints hurt in bed!!! I feel as though I was sleeping on a cloud of fluff. My sciatic pains are going away ...still there, but so much better.

If you’re looking to make a mattress more plush and soft this is the one. I shopped around and decided to make this purchase and I do not regret it. It is true to size and thickness. The memory foam expanded easy and fast, without a weird smell. The fabric mattress topper is not anything exceptional but on top of the amazing foam topper it doesn’t matter. I wanted to sink into my bed and this achieved that. I am a side sleeper.
