Dean DHS AB Deluxe Hard Shell Case for EAB Model Acoustic Bass Guitars

What a nice case. First off, Dean packaged this case carefully. First, the cons. Yes, there is a "new" smell, probably from the glue and the vinyl case covering. Yes, there is a bead of glue on the back seam that protrudes a bit. Not a big deal. Clean it off if you wish, I'll leave mine there. Is it sticky, well, yeah, if you keep touching it.The case is beautiful, at first I wanted a black case, but this brown looks a lot nicer. Lot of brass latches hold the case securely closes, fabric bands keep the case from falling to far over when opened. Nice. The case comes with two keys, in case you want to look it down.Inside, its the perfect fit for my Dean EAB cutaway four string bass (which I bought used for $100). It's lined with black velvet and contained a compartment for picks, tuners strings and other such material.For $100, it's a very nice case, will take care of your bass while transporting it anywhere. Better yet, it's a custom case for your Dean.

I got this case for my Dean AXS bass. It's a little on the large side for this guitar, but fully functional. In general, is is a very large case.The shell is a little on the thin side, but will protect a guitar against just about anything short of deliberate abuse.I count five latches - 4 on the side it opens on, one in the back. One of the latches does have a lock, 2 keys included.There is a generously sized covered storage compartment under the neck.Edit: looking closer, the case I received is not exactly the same as what I ordered. Different color, somewhat different shape. Still bears the Dean logo.Nonetheless, the one I received is excellent.

The "upholstery" on the inside is cheap but buy assured, this case will absolutely protect your acoustic bass. The issue of the material is a minor one for most however, if you're anything like me and the sound of felt-tip markers in use brings discomfort, you too may be mildly disappointed by the interior. The lift locks are solid, and the included key lock with a guitar shaped key is an unnecessary but nice addition. The storage space within the case below where the upper neck of the guitar is is great. Again, one runs into the issue of the interior material being... shall we say perturbing as you open and close the compartment, and yet again it's really rather minuscule . I can fit this into the backseat and trunk of my Honda Civic so size is of little concern. You won't find a better deal for a quality acoustic bass case. Please recycle the voluminous box it's shipped in.

I have been looking for a hardshell case to fit my Tacoma Thunderchief bass for years. All I've tried have been too small. This one fit like a glove and was good quality to boot. Very happy.

Buyer beware Music 123 belittles A to Z claims. I received my brand new Dean EAB case with large amounts of excess vinyl glue outside and around all the seams. Everything sticks to it dirt, lint, your hands! what a huge mess! But the mess only gets dirtier when 123s contact seller link returns failed email contact notifications verified by Amazon. The leave feedback link works but if you reply to the reps email it also fails. What a stonewall setup. Good luck getting any service. I got a whole $14 back for my cleaning efforts. I figure way less than minimum wage and the cost of cleaning materials. What a rip off.

Excellent case. Well padded inside, perfect fit for the EAB bass. Worth every cent. Arrived on time, well packaged, no damage. Very happy.

My only complaint about this case is that much of the glue used to hold it together started peeling off and I had to repair the case right away. Not a good quality for a new product.

Works as advertised. My only complaint is that it came to me with a cut/tear in the venal. A small one, but for the price I would have expected there to be no defects.
