AMAZING
I had a friend who recommended this style of collar for my hound dog who constantly pulls. This guy has a high pain tolerance, as he has defeated GPS shock collars, and pulls on the metal collars meant to discourage pulling. However, the second he got this collar on, no more pulling. He walks at a good pace beside me and doesn't pull when I take him off the runner to put him inside. The durability seems questionable, but has held up well the last week. Its easy to adjust and seems universal in size. I can't recommend this collar enough.

Glad I found this
I have a little Morkey he was extremely protective. I got this in hopes that he would be more responsive to me during walks and not bark and go into attack mode. Mixed results as of today, sometimes it seems to work really good, other times he seems to go into that fight response and I don’t think anything would get through to him.

Not a miracle product, but helped a lot with pulling
I have a sweet but stubborn English Bull Terrier who has a difficult time remembering her manners on the leash when distracted (she is hypervigilant since losing sight in one eye). The Gentle Leader works well for her, but she hates it and paws at it while walking. I tried a collar with vibration and noise correction, which worked a short while, but as soon as she acclimated to it she ignored it. I was hesitant to use a prong collar, but she's really hard on my already painful back, so I was happy to see another option when I searched for them. This collar was cheap enough that it was worth trying, and I'm pretty happy with the results.I ordered the large and had to take 2 links out to make it fit (her neck is about 16"), though I could've taken out 3 and it wouldn't be overly tight. Taking it apart is easy; just twist and pull out first the bottom and then the top. Putting it back together isn't hard, but it takes a little effort and can be a bit rough on your fingers. However, we did not get cut or scratched doing it as some reviewers said they did. It's important to study it for a few minutes before attempting to add or remove links. Once you see how it fits together, it's easy. The collar is easy to put on and take off with the loop (unlike harnesses). We don't use the backup loop sent with it because it's pretty flimsy; we just put her other collar on and hook it in the leash as back up. So far it hasn't popped off, but I've seen this with metal collars as well, so better safe than sorry. It does put a limit on her pulling; she isn't pulling nearly as hard, and it doesn't take long to redirect her with it when she gets distracted. If she gets really distracted, as she does when passing aggressive dogs on our walks, I find that gently lifting her front feet off of the ground for just a couple of seconds usually settles her right down. Failing that, a quick jerk back always does the trick but seems to hurt her a bit. Otherwise, she shows no discomfort when wearing the collar. She does have short hair; I wouldn't think this would work as well on a dog with a lot of hair because the prongs are pretty short. As others have said, it's also nice that it looks like a regular collar so no one takes issue with it.I will update if this breaks quickly or shows any other issues but so far I'm very happy with it. If my dog doesn't get used to it and start ignoring it, I see no reason to order a metal prong collar as this does the job.

Helpful
Game changer for teaching your dog not to pull. Our puppy is going through training and this item was recommended to use during training. It has been helpful as he is still learning the ropes. But if you have a puller, you might try this. Quality is good, adjusts with links to fit your dog. We have a 27 pound medium size dog and use a small on him. It is lightweight and certainly prefer this over a metal prong collar.

It just simply worked under 10 minutes.
Holy cow!!! Just got this today to try and teach my pug to walk on a leash properly. He is always at full “tug” and was extremely frustrating. Just used it for the first time and can’t believe how well it worked. I kid you not, I did ONE “U-turn” and he instantly knew something was different and stayed close. I did a few more and then some random direction turns and he picked it up in under 10 minutes. This lil guy was walking by me and I noticed him eyeing me to watch what I’m doing. When I would stop suddenly, he would get close to my legs and SIT without even a command. I would give him a treat 1/2 the time he did this. This device freaking works. For the price, it’s a no brainer. I got the small(for a pug) and is basically perfect for his neck and allows just enough looseness to not be a problem when not tugging. If your pug is on the thicker side, the bigger one with some links taken off may be a better option.Just buy it!

Good tool if it fits
This is a good training tool, however it should be on the neck just below/behind the ears and be snug not tight. My problem is my dogs neck size, the collar is loose, if I take a link away it chokes my dog, so there is very little wiggle room with these, the latch is also very small for normal sized hands so sometimes it makes it difficult to get on or off. Going to return mine because the fit isn't correct. Good concept just needs some improvement.

It works!!
Very effective! I wanted to try something other than the prongs and this came up. It’s made of durable plastic and very comfortable it seems for my dog. She doesn’t pull and she doesn’t cry when corrected so it’s working and she’s good! You take the links out if too big and adjusting is easy.

Best collar for dogs that pull
This color is amazing! I purchased the large for a 55 lb boxer. I easily removed 2 sections to have it fit as directed. For the first time in 3 years I am not having my shoulder painfully pulled on our walks! I will be purchasing another one for my husbands 65 lb boxer. He also pulls when he gets excited and can be a bit much for him (he’s 76). We have tried other training leashes and collars; this one’s the BEST!!
