It was good but I wasn't aware that it didn't come with a SATA - USB hard drive adapter cable. So just be aware that you'll have to buy one separately.

it hummed or buzzed when you put your ears to it, and not very loud, but for my case it's not a big deal.

I bought the M2 & mSATA SSD Dual Connector to SATA 2.5 hd size. I thought it support both, but no! Not at the same time. You can only either use the mSATA or M2, NOT BOTH SLOTS AT THE SAME TIME! This warning should have been on the product description. It says you can use mSATA 'or' M2 on this adapter. Just the word 'or' is not enough to clearly warn me that this is not the right product for me. Why have a dual slot configuration, but not capable of supporting both slots? Syba, next time tell buyers specifically that you CANNOT do both, so I don't have to waste my money on a dual adapter that can only work in SINGLE mode.

Works plug & play in Windows 10 1903 on any of the onboard M.2 slots of ASUS Z390-I motherboard. Unfortunately both read and write speeds are substantially below the motherboard-integrated SATA connectors. About 20% loss on large files, 90% speeds loss on small files. Tested with latest version of ATTO and a Samsung 860 EVO 4TB SSD (latest firmware).

Worked great as I upgraded my motherboard and did not have the m2 option. So this allowed me to add in a case for not desktop setup

QC sticker seal on box had been pealed opened and stuck back. The bottom of the circuit board underneath the SATA connectors, (which at least one of them work) has been clipped with wire cutters or some sort of snips. It ain't gonna' get it for RAID, because the last time I checked, RAID needs at least TWO drives to implement. Oh well, at least I can use it for one other M.2 to SATA connection on my Gigabyte GA-Z207X-Gaming 5 motherboard. More than likely someone bought it and sent it back as defective and they just sold it to me. So to prevent that from happening again I am going to throw it in the trash.

Lots of screws, but ends up being a pretty sturdy device. Worked first time. Will post if something stops working. Used msata drive.

In case anyone wants to buy this for the Samsung 950 M.2 NVMe series of SSD's, it won't work.I've had no joy finding an external enclosure for the 950 M.2 drives. All of the external devices I've tried, even though they state they are made for M.2 will not accept these drives. I wish manufacturers would mention this in the product description. All they have to do is state, not for NVMe drives but without it we end up guessing.I never had a chance to try the device so cannot comment on it. The construction seemed to be a bit week, very thing tine clam shell that the circuit board mounts on. While this is ok if the whole thing is mounted inside a laptop or adapter in a PC, the problem is that in the interim while your handling it there is a lot of flex that could break a through the whole plating connection which would disable the whole thing, the fact that the board itself is on the thin side doesn't help.So unfortunately it had to be returned.
