I loved every single episode as well as every page of the books.

5 stars are not nearly enough for this amazing labor of love for everyone who obsessed over Mad Men and misses it terribly! First of all, it's packaged in a briefcase sized box, which is phenomenal. And you better reinforce your coffee table, because this baby is HEAVY! Volume 1 allows you to relive the show, with beautiful photos and quotes covering the show from the beginning to the very end, in 840 glossy pages.Volume 2 includes interviews and behind the scenes treasures and , while slimmer, is heavy on content.We've been waiting for this for years, and I'm thrilled to say, it as totally worth it!Christmas came early this year!!!

I pre-ordered this book as soon as its publication was announced, and waited anxiously for months! It was well worth the wait. The quality is impeccable, as is always the case with Taschen, and it has been such a treat to relive the magic of Mad Men while perusing the pages of this beautiful set of books. This set is a must-have for any serious Mad Men fan; could not recommend it highly enough! As another reviewer noted, it's an extremely heavy set of books -- probably 20 lbs at least, so be prepared. What a perfect companion to augment the best television show ever!

This was a Christmas gift for my wife (and me!). She loved it. This set is impeccably packaged and presented. The book is actually heavy to lift. The interview book is a great read and fun to relive this fantastic TV series. The main book goes episode by episode. You will not be disappointed. The maker of this book went out of their way to present a first class package for fans of this beloved show.

Every page is fascinating. The inside stories, analysis, notes that various members jotted down, and the stunning full page photos make this one of my favorite books/coffee table/ boat anchors. The full page photos are like master photos/paintings.

This two-volume set wins the award for heaviest Taschen epic in my collection. (And I have some pretty hefty Taschen titles.) It is a work of publishing art, and one that I will look through multiple times with great enjoyment. But - on first viewing - my initial thought is that the volume devoted to photographs from each scene of each episode is too large, while the second volume of essays and behind the scenes photos is too small.The first volume seems superfluous in a blu-ray boxed set/streaming world. Back in the days before Betamax/VHS, a film enthusiast named Richard J. Anobile did books about the films of the Marx Brothers, W.C. Fields, and others. One of his books did scene-by-scene freeze frames from the classic film "Animal Crackers." That book was indispensable to Marx Brothers fans, who were years away from being able to actually own a copy of the film in any format. Had "Mad Men" hit the airwaves in the early 70's, the Taschen tribute would have been as indispensable as an Anobile book. But arriving on the eve of 2017, the Taschen epic is merely a curiosity.Taschen's tribute to Kurick's "2001" struck the right balance for our era. It featured a perfect mix of production photos, and inside-baseball documentation. I hope that future cinema volumes from this greatest of all publishing houses will be closer in spirit to that one.It's Monday morning at 10:19 A.M. If you're a die hard fan, then you really should treat yourself to this set. The presentation and attention to detail are incredible. Lots of great photos and stories. I got lucky when Amazon dropped the price all the way down to $50, so I got a great deal, though this collection is still a great deal at $130.

The books were beautifully bound and I loved the actual box they came in. The books themselves accurately detailed the seven seasons and the photography was amazing.
