Element: A Phenomenal Design.
One of my favourite activities in the evenings now, is anticipating and then playing a few or more games of Element! It is that good a game. This board game is very complete in design, fun and outstanding value:-* 2,3 or 4 players leads to lots of variety and social fun* 20mins per game leads to plenty of quickfire games in a row* Huge array of different combinations possible from simple rules (learn in minutes) leads to quick to learn and huge replayability* Outstanding price for a game with a few well designed components and gameplay with interesting decisions every game and every turn by every player involved! Each game plays out different patterns and pulling off interesting combinations is just so fun. The game has some deduction (combinations) but seems to also have some inductive feel for the board state too due to chance and change being very active, so the game play always feels absorbing without feeling "heavy" as a lot of abstracts do with 2-player counts. The 2-player game is very enjoyable but I think the added layer of (([{(player-board-)-player}-player]-player)) ie 3 or 4 player round robin win condition adds hugely interesting interactions to an abstract base game which elevates the experience a lot and means it's definitely a very distinct game in the abstract category of board games. My delivery of Element was on time and at great value: I've played lots of games at different player counts regularly and can safely say, Element is easily my favourite board game and one that fits alongside such other abstracts as Onitama, Tak or Go but thankfully plays more than 2 players at a time with 3 or 4 players where the complexity and emergence is extremely fun mix of subtle and shifting moves! One of the best things I've found is that you can appreciate other players clever moves as much as your own. I think Element opens up the abstract genre to a lot more people and is phenomenally successfully at achieving this.

Easy game to understand and play
Easy game to understand and play. Replay ability is high depending on which elements you chose and the kind of strategy you go with, seeing as each element has special rules. Fun game.

Beautifully made, great game pieces, interesting game concept.
A few years ago, I bought this immediately when I saw it.It reminded me so much of Avatar the Last Airbender feels. The little player totems you get are so cute and unique to one another. I loved pretending to be a bending guru.I've only played 1v1 because I don't have friends, lol. But i still get so much out of the game. It lasts just enough time to be a good, fun distraction but not enough for it to get boring or stressful.I love how the different elements bring different game play aspects to the game, the air jumping and mountain blocking being my favorite parts. All of the parts of the game are quality. The board, the box, the totems, the coins, the bag. If at all, the coins could be a little more polished but I wasn't expecting pieces of such good quality from a board game that's so affordable.I've had this board game for years now, I admittably have tossed it in my car while bringing it to friends houses, and the box holds up so well. No marks, scuffs, corners bending in. You shouldn't treat board games the way I do, but even then, the box still looks brand new. It's one of my favorite board games to display. The biggest downside is just learning how to play it without reference, took me a good 20 minutes to really wrap my mind around how to play, but after a game or two, it comes naturally.

Excellent game and fascinating fun
This is a game from Rather Dashing Games. It is a strategy based board game for 2 to 4 players. The components are very good. Nice plain brown board well patterned though with a celtic theme. This is important as the placement of the coloured stones are colourful enough. The stones are simple plastic that work well and although the pattern is the same ( it prevents cheating feeling the stone before you draw them) they work well, perhaps a little bigger would have helped as one often finds one draws out too many and need to redraw. The sages are superb fantastic individual pieces well though out in Ancient Greek, Indian, Chinese and Native American. perhaps the colour of the earth stone could have been green to match the earth sage .The cloth bag is great too and the rule book is great. the gameplay is fun and has enough depth for a challenge and this compensates for the little piece of luck you get in drawing stones. The length of the game is about 30 minutes for 4 players and is perfect . A welcome addition to our games night league. Well done

A good strategy board game that gives little fun
I really enjoy strategy games but I did not liked this game very much. played it once with my wife but I do not fee like playing again soon...The quality of the pieces are very cheap made. There is strategy involved to play the game but I do not find the fun in the gameplay. I will give it a second chance later and change my review if necessary...There are many other good games I would play before this one.The quality of the components are average.

Fun game, not the best looking pieces.
I wish the pieces were a little nicer and the board as well. It is a fun and easy game to learn.

Brilliant game. It is easy to learn
Brilliant game. It is easy to learn, but there is a uniqueness to the strategy needed to win. It can be a relatively quick game with two players, but with more than two, the strategy ramps up. The use of the elements, and how each element interacts and/or replaces one another is such a unique twist to the game. It makes for some hilarious moments, but also provides a scaling challenge as the game goes on. Highly recommend for board game players that like a bit of abstract strategy. Also, it reminds me so much of Avatar: the Last Airbender, that I'm not gonna lie, my friends and I like to pretend we're the Avatar.
