Compact Oxford English Dictionary

Love it

This compact and spartan OED of Current English is produced to fit the maximum number of entries in a compact space; the pages are thin, the definitions are terse, and there are no added maps, population tables, etc. A US user might cavil that a lot of British usage and slang is included. But on the whole it is a very useful dictionary, inexpensive, easy to read, with a vast number of words in a book one can carry about easily without back strain. It admirably suits the purpose for which it was designed, and I am happy to replace my old Webster with it.

It's in great condition. Like new.

For those times when your internet doesn't work this is a great little dictionary to have on hand!

I think this dictionary is okay. I expected it to have more definitions for the words than it does. I think it's good for maybe elementary school or something like that.

Concise and very adequate for every day language needs.

1 out of 2 books ordered a dictionary and thesaurus but got just the thesaurus. When will I receive the dictionary?

Sur la photo il s’agit de celui à droite comme vous l’aurait remarqué et ce n’est pas le plus petit, il est de taille moyenne bien que compact donc assez lourd donc pour une utilisation de poche je ne vous le conseille pas. Cependant ce dictionnaire est très complet et correspond à mon utilisation bien qu’un peut embarrassant il reste très bon.

ConciseとCompact違いは後者はコーパスベースの編集。簡潔明瞭。買って良かった。前者はOEDの流れを汲む蓄積の宝庫の感あり。これも版により評価は分かれるが捨てがたい歴史がある。
