Best caulk for a lot of purposes
Dynaflex 230 is becoming an industry standard for outdoor caulk. It's a silicone/acrylic blend so it combines the best qualities of both. It's reasonably priced if you buy it by the case. And you can get it in a lot of colors.Because it's part silicone, it will stay flexible for many years and it's great for gaps that expand and contract with the weather. But because it's part acrylic, it is paintable which silicone is not. If you can't match a color, just buy the clear and paint it what you want. (The clear is also nice because it goes on white and turns clear as it dries, so it gives you an indication of when you can paint it)It's much easier to work with and less messy than silicone caulk. You should cut the smallest hole you can because it comes out very soft, softer than painter's caulk. The one downside -- and why I wouldn't use it indoors -- drying time is LONG -- I don't know what the guideline is, but I wouldn't paint it without giving it a full day in dry weather to set.

Excellent
We have used this silicone for several outdoor and exterior projects and it does exactly what it should. It does shrink slightly while curing, but it does dry clear and doesn’t show when painted over. Overall it’s one of the better silicones we have used.

Great Price
I bought this to use as part of Air Sealing my basement and attic areas. I was hoping to get the white for this price, but only the clear was available. But for what i am using it for it didn't matter. To purchase one tube at the big box stores is over $6 per tube, white or clear. So buying the 12 tubes was approx. $4 per tube. So i saved $24-25 buying it in bulk like this. Even Lowe's has buy 12 or more and get 10% off, but at $6.28 per tube that's .63 cents off per tube, so still $5.65 per tube versus just under $4 times 12 tubes...so great deal.

Trash. Dried out. Threw it away.
use the tube or two, which was great. Put the rest away. A year later I tried using it and it was all dried out inside the tubes. Waste of money.

Good price.
Takes a while to dry especially if it’s cool and damp. Goes on white but dries clear in a few days. Easy to use.
