Surprisingly solid flashlight with great output, and the price seals the deal.
Solid and well built. I had some trouble with the button not working on my first one, but the seller was swift to resolve my issues. This light is amazing for the price. Flare mode is BRIGHT, (almost too bright for indoors) and all the others modes are very usable and different enough to warrant having that mode... even the moonlight mode, which is good for looking at maps and things closely without ruining night vision. The usb plug is great is great, and I think I prefer this method better than a rubber plug found on other usb chargeable flashlights or proprietary chargers (The magnetic chargers are cool, but if you don't have that particular plug with you, how to you charge it? micro usb cords are everywhere. ) However, I think its worth noting that it seems susceptible to dirt and grime getting in the threads, so be careful if you play in dirt.My main gripe with this flashlight is the clip.. The clip is attached to the battery cap, so every time you unscrew the cap, the clip grinds around the body (which will eventually wear a ring around it... depending on how good the anodizing is). It would be better if the clip were mounted on the body itself. I've been using a piece of paper under the clip as I screw it off, to provide some protection against scratching the anodizing as it slides around the body. Also, it is more difficult to screw the battery cap back on with the clip attached, but its rechargeable, so there is really no need to remove the battery under normal conditions. The battery life seems good enough. I didn't time it or measure the output as it steps down over time, but it is very usable. I did not feel like I would run out of battery prematurely, like I do with smaller and lower capacity batteries. Charging time seems to take around 3-4 hours, depending on its level of depletion. The user interface is intuitive. Starting out low, and going up to flare. Memory allows it to turn on to the same brightness level you turned it off at. When the battery gets low, the light starts flashing every minute., and will eventually flash several times in a row and shut off, protecting your battery from discharging too low. Strobe and SOS are activated by longer press of the side buttons, and turned off the same way. Pretty standard. All in all, it is a well build light, with a great form factor, that puts out impressive light. I am surprised at how nice it is for the price. At this price, its a real contender with other better known names with similar output and form factor. For what it is, the price to quality ratio is worth the purchase, in my opinion. I own Nitecore, Klarus, and other high quality lights, and this one feels just as nice. I definitely plan to carry and use it alot and look forward to seeing how it stands up to regular use (not abuse).I will report back if something changes. I hope this helps.

Good but complex interface
I've just started using this light. Overall I like it but I think I would prefer the Atactical A1 or A1S the Zanflare F1.So I will start with what I like. The fit and finish are really good. The recharge port on the outside of the light is great and well protected. In general I like the two button interface and that when you turn the light on it comes back in the last used mode. I also really like the ultra low output level. That's really handy when you want just enough light to see where your feet are going. Light output is also good in the brightest mode. However, when compared with the Atactical lights which are about the same price I'm not sure. As I write this the F1 and the lower powered Atactical A1 are about the same price. The A1 (and A1S both come with USB rechargable batteries in the box. But, those batteries must be removed from the light before charging. It's really nice to just charge when you get the opportunity vs pulling the battery out. Adding a battery to the F1 puts it's price over the A1 and closer to the A1S.However, the interface, despite seeming to be the same as the Atactical lights, is rather frustrating. The single click to change from lowest to high is fine. The problem is the brightest setting requires double clicking and only last 30 seconds. I prefer the A1's simple low-medium-higher-highest- SOS flasher with , hold for strobe, vs the F1's superlow-low-medium-hi... then the surprisingly inconsistent double click to brightest. Also, the tail switch is a bit stiff and the recess makes it harder to push vs the A1. The A1's body around the battery is also a bit thinner.None of these are huge issues but if I didn't already have 18650 cells around I would say the Atactical would be my first pick vs this. If i wanted to charge on the go more often then I think I might change my vote.

Very good light with a few simple to fix issues.
I hope you see this Zanflare, believe me I love the light it's fantastic but I have a few critiques about your light if they were fixed I'd give a five all day Long. Firstly the pocket clip attached to the end cap has to go, it should be connected to the body of the light so when you unscrew it, it shouldn't be difficult to put back on, second the flare mode should be 3 minutes, instead of 30 seconds, and should be a separate mode instead of a double tap. To me that would make it much better than it already is. Hopefully in your version 2 if you ever decide to make one should have those updates and then it would be perfect.

Works Great! Charging mode is silly
This light is bright as hell in high or turbo, and the moonlight mode is fantastic to keep your nightvision with and the low and medium are great for extended working time to light level ratio. The housing is great, buttons on mine have been solid, no issues with the interfaces layout. The only silly thing is that after you plug it in to charge you have to hit the tail end power button to enable charging mode. IMO it should begin charging when it sees 5v on the USB port. Not a big deal once you know, but because I wasted so much time figuring out that I had to dock 1 star from an otherwise great functioning, sturdy, great light!
