Cissp Exam Cram 3rd Edition

I found some mistakes in the questions, not a big deal but it highlights a lack of attention to detail. The real problem is that it is impossible to select an individual domain for questions. The only option that works is a random selection from the entire database of questions provided. That means if you have several domains well in hand and just want to focus on ones you still need to work on you can't. Additionally, if you want to review a question there is no indication which domain the question belongs in. Thats not as important because it can usually be intuited, but not always.For those reasons I would not recommend this book unless you just want to take 2 sample tests for a grand total of 120 questions. That makes it a poor value.

I passed the test first try after reviewing this book and the ISC2 material. A must have for test prep.A few monor typos, but nothing to prevent the book from being useful. Would have liked it better if the questions were a little closer to the test (probably asking too much)

The CD takes you to a test that no longer exists so there is no online testing available. The information is good though and the cram sheet was helpful. If you're looking to pass your CISSP exam though, I highly recommend the https://cccure.training/ site and the CBK instead.

Since none of the questions in the test question pool are categorized, it is impossible to limit the practice tests by chapter. So this book is not useful in a class setting where the teacher expects you to study by CISSP domain. We have communicated both with the publisher and the author, with no resolution yet. This issue has been noted in an earlier Amazon review in February 2013.Also, this book needs an errata sheet. Some examples:1. Cram sheet, Physical, 1. "2 feet wide" should be "2 candle foot"2. P. 197, question 13, CoCom is not ever mentioned in the chapter3. P. 297, question 10. correct answer is D. Authentication, authorization, and accountability

If you want just the detail information without the fluff, this is the book for you. They dive straight into the meat and potatoes and give you the knowledge you need in order to pass this 6 hour exam. It is worth the money to invest or you might be spending another $600 to retake the exam.

Good to use to prepare for the CISSP exam. I used it over the 1000+ page Shorn Harris book

I took a bootcamp with the author (he was great) so I bought this book as well as. Supplemental study material. Couldn't be happier with it.Shouldn't be your only resource (bootcamp or training videos would be ideal just for a different method of absorption) but should really be one of the things you leverage.

This book is excellent for a quick review of Domain concepts. I reviewed it the week leading up to my exam in order to get a fresh perspective and ensure I was studying the critical material needed to pass the exam. It did not disappoint and yes, I passed the exam.
