RIDGID 18V Lithium-Ion Brushless Cordless Sub Compact 1/2 in. Drill/Driver (Tool-Only)

Surprised at the power and speed of this tool. I have numerous other rigid tools, including drills and screw guns and for its size. It is more powerful than any of my older ones. Brushless equals lighter. That is quite welcome when you carry it on your tool belt all day long. Speed is also increased on both settings of this gun. The only thing I don’t like about it is that it doesn’t have a slot for a spare bit. The space is there, but they just didn’t put it in. But all in all, typical durable, rigid tool. High quality. Long lasting. A must-have for any carpenter’s tool kit or a homeowners tool shed.

I already had a couple Ridgid drills. Being a Sub Compact I guess I was expecting something smaller and lighter. It's a great drill but with a 3inch tear in my rotator cup I was hoping for less pain when working over head. It's a great drill though and I love the Ridgid Brand.

This was a great purchase. It was a replacement for a Black and Decker and is just as light and mobile. It works with my existing Ridgid batteries.

A lot of power in a smaller drill

I purchased this drill believing it would be the same quality as the box stores. When I went to register the drill with Rigid, they would not give me the lifetime warranty because I purchased it through Amazon. I returned the product to Amazon and I was charged a restocking fee and shipping!

I bought this drill because my old one couldn't use 1/2" bits. This one also has a good amount of torque that has already come in handy for drilling through metal and into hardwood studs. The LED light is helpful too. The only downside to buying a Ridgid tool somewhere other than Home Depot, is that it's not eligible for the Ridgid lifetime warranty. Personally, I doubt that I would ever file a warranty claim on a sub-$100 power tool. So, no worries on that.I was nervous buying this from Amazon for a bit less than the same item at Home Depot, but the item is perfect. No regrets.
