Lots of strings being thrown around
These are fine. I don't know a ton about buffing wheels, but these have worked fine for me. I buffed the Honda emblem on the front of my van and it turned out pretty good. Any issues are probably more still related than product. I did lose quite a bit of string as I was buffing. Felt like the wheel was falling apart more than it should be.

Not very sturdy.
Used them to polish a vehicle they wernt that good as far as staying together while polishing had to re wipe with microfiber to gain shine. Idea infuse them with a little caranuba wax will help hold together better and add shine to users vehicle. Just an idea.

Unusable!!!
I purchased these to use in my Milwaukee end grinder / die grinder. My end grinder has only one speed, 10,000 rpm. No variable or slow speed. I inserted one of these polishing pads and turned it on. Instantly it vibrated so bad it nearly jumped out of my hands. These are so out of balance that my end grinder nearly jumped out of my hands. The polishing wheel litetally starte to deform and shred to pieces. I don't know how this will work on a slow speed tool such as a variable speed drill motor but definitely it's useless with a normal end grinder. I will test at a later date and if it works them I'll update this review. OK so I decided to give these polishing wheels the benefit of the doubt. I used EVERY wheel in this set with a variable speed drill. So I could use slow RPMs. Same problem. So out of balance and the wheels started falling apart. I ended up using some sanding disks fine sand paper, and a polishing cloth. Theses polishing wheels are in the trash as I write this.

Works as advertised
The buffing wheels seem to do the job and are in enough different shapes to clean up my various brass items. Would buy again
