If you want a better billiard stroke, Mike Massey's Sure Stroke Tool is the best training aid, period. Just like advertised, it forces you to shoot straight through the ball, or you miss-hit. It's impossible to not improve when practicing with this great tool. Anyone who wants a better stroke should buy the Sure Stroke. Simple, inexpensive, effective. Highly recommended.

It doesn't indicate an off center hit like his video shows. A really far off center needs to be shot to move the cue ball off center.

It works as advertised.As many such aids or even just playing pool, you can tell you're doing it wrong, but to fix it requires good self-perception.I think the point that many shots are missed from off-center hits and resulting squirt has merit and this tool will definitely help one identify if that's a personal issue. Fixing it is another matter. Joe Tucker has a centering tool aid that only works laterally, not vertically, but it gives feedback before the shot that one's alignment is off -- for many it is a head alignment/sighting issue and his tool is superior for that. This tool is probably better for actual stroke errors, since you can hit hard without risk of damage.For the price, I think there should be two of each type cap or an actual case or small bag because they are easy to lose. They are just shipped loose in the DVD case.I have a Predator 314-3 and the tip is about 13 mm and I needed a slip of paper to tighten up the fit, as described in the usage instructions. It then works perfectlyI'm not actually using this much because of the difficulty knowing what to do to fix errors. I can tell when I've hit off-center and to which side, but not why nor what to do to fix it. If my body were a better machine, I could quickly try 'adjusting' all variables and find the optimum solution. But my body is too inconsistent.My skill level: my FargoRate is about a 550; a weak Arizona 8; an APA 7 (in 8 ball) I use the advanced tip tool

Simple but very effective. If you just shoot a little off center the ball is sent way off path.

The DVD is worth the price.
Massey is a really good guy and accomplished pool player. This training aid teaches 3 things: pay close attention to straight stroke, no punching at the ball, and be sure where your hitting the cue ball.
