Disclaimer: this is for learning purposes only. The listing says it will not work with Boss effects and that information is correct, as it is, out of the box. I bought this adapter solely for the Boss VE-22, even though the listing mentions it will not work. It did not work out of the box. After some light research the only difference between this and the PSA-120S is the polarity is opposite. This means the center is positive on the adapter. Boss effects has the center as negative. So to get it working I unplugged the adapter, simply cut the adapter wires, rewired and switched them, then used black heat shrink to cover the wires. Doing so switched the polarity to match the PSA-120S polarity and now my Boss VE-22 powers up just as it should. I am in no way saying go do this. If you're like me and looking for a cheaper adapter, I can tell you this will work for the Boss VE-22 as long as polarity is switched. The power rating is the same between both adapters!!

I bought two other cords for my sons electric drums that were not the right ones. I read a review about needing a 'positive' type cord. Found this one. It arrived quickly and it works!! and to think we had about given up on this nice drum set and were planning to donate it to Goodwill. Now my son has been playing non-stop. Very pleased!

I like it looked on the product and it said 9.5 volt that's what I got can't get power to it.

Not all power supplies are polarity marked correctly.

The power adapter is a replacement for a Alesis Vi49 keyboard. The original was lost. This works fine and has a center positive barrel like I needed.

If you’re buying this for an Alesis QX49, it will NOT work, even though they say it will. Zero stars.

It worked perfectly.
