As close to peltors as you can get
I have peltors, but wanted a similar back up for dirty range days. I was incredibly impressed with the similarity and quality. For those of you who don’t want to drop 500-1000 on peltors, this is the product for you !

Things to consider…
I definitely should’ve know the sound quality was going to be subpar. However…. I didn’t think it was going to be such a flat lifeless sounding experience. The overall quality of the headset is cheap plastic, but given the price this makes sense. The gel cups are very nice and comfortable. This headset will actually provide protection when at an outdoor range. (I wouldn’t use this indoor without doubling up ear pro, however you could get away with an indoor pistol range. The rating is something close to 22-23db) I shot various rounds while wearing these. (5.56 , .308, 9mm, and 45 acp) they do work as intended. The problem with this headset is not the sound deadening but the sound quality. It’s just a “flat noise” (meaning there’s no sound direction.) this doesn’t sound bad, except it is. Over time the lack of spacial awareness due to lack of sound is a concern. I find myself having to be more “heads up” with my visual surrounding when at the range during the night under NVGs, which if you’ve ever been under night vision you know it’s like looking through straws. The point of electronic ear pro is to allow you the know what’s going on around you through audio and unfortunately these don’t do it well enough. (Walker razors blow this headset out of the park. They are $40). If you do not intend to use these for maneuvering under fire or nvg shoots with the boys. They will probably work fine if you want the peltor look. However for the price there are much better options.

Work very well for Airsoft!
Clear communication and very comfortable. Worked great except for the volume buttons. Once the headset is turned on I found it much easier to control the volume with the knob on the radio.

Actual clones
Love these, just as good as authentic peltors

Great ComTac for the price
Just about the same quality as Earmor brand but for a better price. My only complaint is the PTT it comes with is junk compared to some other affordable ones out there, but it does work. I replaced my PTT with a Z-Tac one as it feels and functions way better quality wise.

Cheap garbage
I won't even attempt to try these on the range. I can already tell they won't protect your hearing. The foam is cheap and won't sit firmly enough. The sliding brackets are cheaply made and thing. I'm going to use these strictly for vehicle cons. If it wasn't for that I'd just throw them away. Push to talk seems decently made. Couldn't get the mic to seperate without making it feel like it was going to break. Spend your money elsewhere

Comfortable!
I'm comparing this with a pair of impact sports hearing protection. These are heavier obviously, but far more comfortable and allow for communication rather than just hearing protection. I feel that the stereo separation with these isn't as good as the impact sports, as I found myself struggling to locate sound sources more with these than the impact sports ones. Could just be me though. I tested the PTT with a baofeng radio and it works. I don't know how well the microphone sounds, but it works. The impact sports headset hurts my head after about 15-30 minutes of use. These don't. That is the important part.
