This is a great product. I am a licensed remodeler and typically after you install stacked 2x4 for your curb, and wrap the vinyl pan liner over it...it would require cement board over it, which cause holes in the pan from fasteners. This product allows you to form cement over the top of the 2x4's and pan liner in a way that makes a perfect cement form (also slightly pitched inward on top) to install tile directly to it. You will still need to do the "dry pack" floor cement for your floor but this is a great way to build your curb in front or around your shower.

Q: Does this come with the plastic pieces that slope to the drain or just the curb?

just the curb !! floor slope is a different kit !!

Q: On the curb, do you mud it and let set than thinset and tile over?

Yes mud the curb with mortar just to the top of the form. Let it dry then thin set and tile. Keep the top level or slightly angled back into the shower

Q: How thick is the product? For example, will the finished product be flush when installed next to a 1/2" thick piece of drywall?

Goof Proof Shower Kirb is a plastic frame that goes over the 2x4 shower curb frame that is covered by the shower pan liner. This frame work comes out of the wall. You fill the frame work with mortar to form the curb that can be tiled. Depending upon how big you make the curb, typically a 4 inch tile will be used to cap the curb and a cut down piece of 4" tile for the side. The plastic frame is about 1/8th of an inch thick. How this helps.
