LED Underwater Swimming Pool Lights-Pro Version,54W RGB Color Changing, 12V AC, 316 Stainless Steel, Wall Surface Mounted IP68 Waterproof, with Remote Controller (Pro-50ft Cord)

I bought this unit 4 years ago and it is still working fine. Now, that being said I don't use it very often. Only during the Summer of course and maybe a couple of times a week. It looks FABULOUS because my pool color was a light blue. The blue light reflected off nicely and the pool looked great. Had to resurface the pool last Summer and the new shade is a little darker blue so the light doesn't bounce as it did before so I came here to get a second light for the other end of the pool (25,000 gallon pool)The remote DOES work, it is a little finicky and requires a 12v MN 21/23 battery which are not always readily available. When the battery was new I was able to activate the light from about 15' away with the light in the standard mount about 36" below the surface. When you plug in the light it turns on which can also replace the remote if you have the 50' cord version and it seems to come back on with the last chosen color. Since I leave mine on blue it works fine that way. Stainless steel does discolor and it will collect algae before any other part of the pool but can be polished out if you want to make the effort.My existing pool light socket was totally unsuitable for this light so I drilled two holes in the collar and hung it with SS wire and you never notice the bridle but the black power cord is visible though. That is how I will hang this second one as well so I can put it where it will work best.

Light worked but cycled through different colors changing about every 10 seconds. Remote control didn't work to change it to blue or anything else, even in a zip lock bag underwater right in front of the light. Contacted seller through Amazon. Seller sent me replacement remote control. Took 2-1/2 weeks but I finally got it. Didn't work until I held it underwater in a zip lock in front of the light, but then I was able to change it to constant blue like I wanted. After turning off the wall switch for a while and turning it back on, the light came back on blue. Perfect. Took a while, but I got what I wanted. Light fully fills 15'x30' pool. Would have given it 5 stars if the original remote had not come defected.

Just got it wired in today and turned on. Remote works above water at close range, but 2’ under water and the remote doesn’t work. Not sure how I can control it if the remote doesn’t work under water.

light was easy to put in when you have the right 12volt connector, but the remote doesn't work at all for us,

The product worked for two days, changing colors and bright. On the third day I turned it on, it was dim and only would turn red. I've tried to turn it off and on since but to no avail. The remote didn't work since it's about 2 ft underwater. I will return product if I could.
