Summary – This is an awesome controller both for looks and the OEM feel
This is a review of the Xbox Wireless Controller Ocean Shadow Edition.Summary – This is an awesome controller both for looks and the OEM feel. Everything is top notch and I love how it is Bluetooth and can even be paired with my Windows 10 64 Bit Pro Windows 10 laptop and PC. (You can choose between using a micro usb cable or the xbox wireless adapter.)As expected, the fit in the hands is very comfortable and natural. There is nothing sharp and it even has a textured grip. In terms of range, we use this approx. 12’ from the console and get a perfect communication. (Also rated to have twice the wireless range compared to the normal Xbox One controllers. You can even plug in a set of earbuds or headphones as there is a 3.5mm audio port built into the controller. So considering this was $10 bucks more than a basic OEM controller, I was very happy. And lastly there is the amazing color scheme. My wife has the Dawn Shadow Special Edition and I use this one.) It is nice that we do not have to worry about those stick on skins or anything and still have a great looking controller.Note – I was considering a dock, however, all the reviews had a high number of people reporting you had to be very careful to align it just right or it won’t charge. Or some chargers do not turn off when the controller is charged which will shorten the life span of your battery. I have made a final call to just buy more rechargeable AA Eneloop batteries which last very long and have a higher mAh at 2550 and swap them when they are low. Easy, only one charger to plug in and no worries about docks and wondering if they will charge correctly.Would certainly recommend and as with all my reviews, I will update this if this develops any issues with ongoing use.

One of the most beautiful controllers out there
Okay, honestly? This controller got me to play Xbox. I own a Wii, 3DS, and, more recently, a PS4. I also have a Lenovo computer which runs all my Steam and Xbox games. Truthfully, I'm currently devoted to my PS4 but had a long run where PC games were my go-to. Between the transition, I got my Lenovo with a much better processing power than my previous computer. It sparked my love for PC games once more and now I could connect an Xbox controller to my computer for easier gaming. I did a quick search for some Xbox One Controllers and lo and behold, there was this baby. Probably one of the most expensive ones, having been discontinued and all, but also my two favorite colors, I made it my goal to get this controller. And finally, I did. Opening the box was like hearing a choir of angels singing, I nearly shed a tear and all. It looks so much more beautiful in person than on screen. The blue is more gentle and subdued, blending into the black and making both colors appear more metallic. The controller itself has a wonderful feel, too, very smooth with soft, rounded edges. Again, I love my PS4, but this design? PS4 controllers should take a look. The whole thing sits so comfortably in my hands I could play for hours without feeling any discomfort. All in all, unless you're like me and black-blue gradients are your weakness, you're better off getting any other Xbox One controller. But I promise you, the feel of the controller is only enhanced once you combine it with the look you want. I know I paid a good amount of money just for a color, but it makes me so so so happy when I'm playing and at this point, I definitely think it was worth it.

Pretty amazing looking controller
I've wanted this controller for a while now and finally just went for it. As someone who plays PC games and doesn't own an Xbox One ( x/s) it is more of a luxury for looks while I play various games. I love the colors, the picture shows it as a 50/50 split. The top is a black and bottom being blue. This is true, but at angles, the controller can look mostly blue or mostly black. I love that type of design and was the main reason for getting this controller. The only drawback for me is that the top half is a bit or a grease and fingerprint magnet. If this bugs you then I can't recommend this controller.

Nice to look at, but not as good as traditional controllers
To start, this is expensive. I understand you pay for the esthetics when buying a product like this but I expected it to last longer than it did. Worked well for a while, like most xbox controllers. After about 6 months of gentle use (older child who treats things well, plays a few hrs a week), the headset jack started showing signs of problems. Cutting in and out, losing audio, etc. Thought it was the headset, but it wasn't. Then the controller rumbler started to feel very strange on one side.... The audio got worse over time. The jack doesn't show signs of any physical breakage, so there must be something wrong with the electronics. I took it apart, found no issue. I have had better luck with the traditional, black factory supplied controller which came with the system. For how much these things cost, there seems to be no functional improvements made. In fact, they seem to have a shorter lifespan than the traditional wireless controllers. Ultimately, not worth the spend.

Gorgeous controller
Works exactly like an Xbox controller should. Feels great in hand and all the functions seem to work. I have an issue where the bluetooth connection to my computer (Windows 10) is sometimes laggy and disconnects randomly but I am almost certain that this is my computer's fault. I can also connect it to my Android phone over bluetooth and that works nice as well.

He likes the color pattern and says that they work just as good as his original controllers
Bought it for my son's Xbox One. He likes the color pattern and says that they work just as good as his original controllers. I like it because it cost much less. He has Xbox connect, but sometimes like to use his headphones via the Audio port on the controller. In the past, I've seen that this is one of the first components to go on controllers. We've only had this one for a few weeks, so it remains to be seen if it will stand the test of time. Check with me in 9 months to a year. If everything is still working well at that point, I will raise this to a solid 5 stars.
