A matter of opinion
I think it's a matter of opinion and I do like the Fluidmaster flush system the best out of three different brands however I've tried the blue and the chlorine refills in the Fluidmaster and I like the clear chlorine cleaner better than the blue . They both keep the toilet bowl clean however the blue one starts out with a really dark blue and after about a month the blue gets very faint yet I admit the the cleaning power remains the same . The other thing is that in the beginning when the blue is new and dark colored it leaves noticeable blue spots aound the sides of the bowl where the water comes in.

Jury is still out. Mixed results with life of cartridges
I realize "up to three months" is advertising hype, but my experience has been quite inconsistent. Sometimes cartridge will last a couple months, sometimes it's depleted in a week or so. Read that there were some lots that had abnormally short life, so I'm giving it a chance.

Not what you pay for. Look at other options for better value.
I used to be a fan of this product. The last three times I've bought this toilette bow cleaner the replaceable cylinders have decreased in longevity I bought a two pack in June. The two lasted till September just six weeks. This I considered reasonable, for a single user. The next set only lasted 3 weeks per unit. Now I'm just replacing the first cylinder just two weeks after installing. The trend is horrific. They work, don't get me wrong, yet they are getting shorter in usage. I'm guessing if they burn out faster, making Fluidmaster more $ and making you buy more often. May have had a bad batch lately but the trend seems to be going down hill. Recipe needs to be looked at. May have to go to an alternative system in future.

Fresh and Clean
Great way to keep the toilet looking clean and smelling clean. Nothing hanging in the bowl or coloring the water. It makes cleaning the bathroom fast and easy

Dissapointed. These do not work like the old ones.
This is going to be a long review.First off, let me say i have been using this product for years. I actually stockpiled several refills years ago when my local hardware store decided to stop selling them. I relied on these very heavily because my water is very hard and it helped keep my bowl clean between manual cleanings so I don't need to spend as much time cleaning calcified deposits out of the bowl. I really liked them, even though they were expensive and never got the amount of time out of a cartridge that i hoped. This year i used up the last of my stockpiled cartridges and ordered these (same model number).Immediately i could tell a difference. Previously, when i first installed a cartridge, the water would be so blue it would be almost opaque. The cleaning action was good too. When i installed this new one, the blue dye was faint, almost at the level of 4 weeks use on the old ones. The blue dye is cosmetic, so i figured there was a formula change and waited to see how well it worked. After only a month there was very little color left, and it definitely wasn't doing the cleaning job well (was back to alot of manual labor to clean the bowel).I contacted the company. They said there was no change in the product formula, and sent me two replacement cartridges and a prepaid box to return the one unused cartridge from the box that I had a bad experience with. When I tried to remove the new cartridge from the dispenser (no longer any blue color and not working for cleaning) i found the dispenser was full of thick gooey blue sludge which was not dissolving easily. I removed the dispenser and rinsed it clean in the kitchen sink (took a long time). The new cartridge that the company sent me was better, but also CLEARLY different. The blue tint was again not anywhere near as dark as the older ones that i ran out of, but it was much better than the last one. So clearly, despite what the company says, the formulation HAS changed. This new one was helping to clean, unlike the last one.Today the blue dye was almost gone again, so i went to replace the cartridge. I pulled it out and found that it wasn't empty, and again the dispenser was full of blue sludge (but not as bad as the last cartridge). Removing it and re-inserting it seems to have displaced the sludge enough that the cleaner is coming out with strong color again. I'm going to try this trick for the next few weeks when the dye fades again. It seems pretty clear that the formulation of this has changed, and the stuff turns into blue sludge (at least in hard water). I'm not sure what I'm going to do, because, as i said, I really rely on these things. Maybe I'll try the bleach cartridges instead.

Have been using these for 5 months on two tanks
Each cartridge has lasted 2-3 months in a home where we flush a lot. Really does the job of maintaining the cleanliness of the bowl. I like that I get a fresh cartridge each time I order and that I don’t have to fiddle with the basket much to replace the product. If you want a refillable basket there are other companies that make that sort of thing as well as YouTube videos to modify. I like this as-is and want it to stay in this form TYVM. My concern is one place above mentioned it’s made in the USA and the other mentioned it’s made in China, not knowing for certain I’d only guess is that it may be both. Cleaning agent USA, but the plastic cartridge imported, but that’s just my guess. I never thought a product would save my back by helping me clean my toilet tank, but this does and I’m grateful. Before changing the cartridge I do clean the toilet completely and I wait for the old cartridge to be completely done at least a week before replacement of cartridge. This is simple to change, efficient in cleaning and not too expensive. It is much cheaper than a maid. If I didn’t use this product I’m sure I could spend more with Lysol or Clorox and have more strain on my back. Fluidmaster for the win 🥇.
