I like this one! It’s easy to use, and keeps its battery life.I like the button to turn it on. I had the orange one from Amazon and it has auto-on so it was constantly dying.It’s a good size to keep in the drawer and fits in the hand. It was easy to clean, had no problems there.We use it a lot for chicken, and the accuracy hasn’t failed us yet.It’s plastic, but it doesn’t need to be anything else for what it is! It’s built to work.If you’re looking for simple, easy to read, and lasting battery, this is it!

I haven't used one before but now I will use for everything. Nice price, size it easy for keep away, off and on button to save the battery, and it's very easy to use.

Piece of Junk. Worked one time, then went dead. Thought it could be the battery so bought new batteries....still assumed room temperature (aka dead).DON'T waste your money.UPDATE: After getting a message from their customer service on what could be causing the problem, I used their suggestion and the thermometer worked as advertised. There is a small button located on the side of the unit that the probe is on, and that button needs to be pulled up slightly using your fingernails so that it will release when the probe is pulled to start the thermometer, and then pushed back afterward when the probe is put back to turn the thermometer off. If you don't do this it will not work and after reading a lot of the negative reviews my guess is that this was the reason for their problem.I think the description should be a little more explanatory on this, but other than that it's a good product. Thus my update.
