Very Fine Blade
My blade being replaced had been used by a couple of people who borrowed it and my saw and had completely destroyed it in that it would try to burn its way through wood rather than cut it. After installation and performing some test cuts, actually made a few cuts to show my wife the reason I "had" to order it to replace the old one. I showed her the burned up cut, another cut by a rip blade and then this new blade. She understood why I ordered a new blade. This blade will cut all types of wood and even some other products that are not wood. And it does it beautifully. The cut I showed with this blade was so smooth that it could have been mistaken for a solid piece that was formed not cut. I do recommend this blade. This should do fine from birdhouses and flower planters to cabinetry.

I bought this thinking it would be a good match for my older Hitachi slide miter saw. At first I was impressed with the clean cuts on the oak trim we were installing. But soon we were noticing some of the small cut off wood pieces were getting lifted up and launched by the spinning saw blade. I should have known better to continue but sure enough a bigger chunk of oak got picked up by the blade and completely destroyed the safety guard system. After researching I discovered that this blade has a positive 7 degree hook angle which to me explains the lifting tendency of the wood. I have used negative hook angle blades in the past and achieved great results not to mention felt a lot safer using them on a slide saw. Other than this blade I consider CMT saw blades to be the best in their price range. Not sure why this blade was recommended for a smaller slide saw, perhaps that should be changed.
