Sony XAV-AX3250 Media Receiver 7 Inch Touchscreen, CarPlay, Android Auto, Weblink 2.0, DAB+, A/V Input

Fitted this to my kia to replace the Android OS system I had in there. The old system had got super slow, didn't offer response to voice commands and overall was a pretty average experience that was just getting worse. This Sony was massive upgrade! Wireless Android Auto connection would have been ideal, but its not much hassle to plug it in at the start of each journey and it charges at a reasonable rate (though noticeably slower than my QC2 cigarette adapter charger). Sound quality is great, touchscreen responsive - my only complaint is that the DAB radio could be better in that when it auto-switches to a stronger station it is very noticeable, where are the one fitted on my wife's old Nissan juke switches almost seamlessly. Had to buy a Kia mounting kit seperately for £60, but looks very professional in there now. Overall very pleased.

Works well no issues at all when installed with a 3rd party kit.Screen isn't bright enough for direct sun. No other issues EQ and sound settings even improve on the original stereo as well as giving DAB and android auto with no issues.

Really pleased with the Sony head unit, it went in pretty easily and worked first time. The Apple Car play works faultlessly without any lag and the display is bright and clear. Love the way it integrates with the car like when you put the lights on and it dims nicely. The sound quality is better than my oem unit and it’s a real welcome to have the nice tech. Good value for money and a great addition to the car.

Really impressed with the sound quality of this product. The difference between it and the original still using same speakers was amazing. Works well with my iPhone just a bit of a downer that it has to be plugged into usb to use CarPlay tho.

Purchased with to pair with a facia kit for my Transporter and it does the job...Installation was quite easy using a YouTube video which covered the removal of the dash compenents which needed to come out. The wiriing loom pair perfectly with the Bass Junkies one I bought from eBay which sorted most of the issues I had expected to encouter out before they occured.Sound quality is ok although that is probably a limitation of the speakers which I have not replaced.My issue with this unit is the speed and accuracy of the touch screen. I appreciate its not a high end Kenwood but the lag before the swipe is reflected on the unit is pitiful, and the same with button presses on the screen - just so slow to react.If you don't mind a delay which changing the functions not covered by the physical buttons along the bottom of the unit then its probably ok but I suspect there are cheaper units with the same performance available so unless you are desparate for this particular model, look for something newer or cheaper

My grandson is over the moon with it. He had to buy a couple of cheap items to fit it in the facia of his aged BMW but even his mates are envious of him. Even has hands free for his phone.

This is the usual Sony quality and price! It works well and the sound is better than the previous Android HU I had fitted. At first I found the touch screen unresponsive but since I went through the alignment function it now works great. I bought it mainly for the Android Auto which works well - the ability to use voice commands is superb. I knew it was wired only for AA but wasnt worried as I would want to connect my phone for charging anyway. The one feature that is stupidly ommitted from the unit is on device mapping. Unless you have AA connected there is no mapping functions - without this I cannot give it 5stars.
