NYX PROFESSIONAL MAKEUP Ultimate Shadow Palette, Eyeshadow Palette - Brights

I love the colors. They are not so overwhelming, but they are strong enough. If you love color on your eyes, you will love this pallet.

I got these because I wanted a mix of nude colors and Smokey colors. I'm still learning how to apply eyeshadow but this palette has been rather forgiving as I learn. The pictures I took are two different colors though it doesn't really show in the pictures very well. Plus my technique may be mucking up the colors a bit.I'm looking forward to getting better at applying eyeshadow with this palette 'cause I do love the colors on me.

I play roller derby, and i got the rainbow palate for my bout make up for our pride themed game. This stuff is amazing! It survived through super sweat, and barely rubbed off when my face got smeared by rogue forearms! But it still came off with such ease with a make up wipe. I highly recommend this palette to anyone who needs tough and vibrant colors.Pictures are of my make up before (pig tails) and then after the game (yellow headband) for reference of how well it stayed on.

This shadow goes on really well with a good primer. Fallout is minimal, which is good because some colours go on a little sheer to begin with. I suggest a really good metallic shadow primer. That kind of primer is on the "stickier" side so helps the shadow to hold and build. It was long wearing and didn't crease. That's as much about the shadow primer as the eyeshadow itself, tho. It blends like a dream, and I found it easier to use than the Urban Decay Electric palette.When I do my eyes I start with Urban Decay's Eyeshadow Primer Potion (Original) all over and work from brows to lids, blending as I go. When I'm ready for my lids I use NYX's Glitter Primer to REALLY build up intense colour. I have deeply hooded eyes and crepey lids (Ehlers Danlos folks pay heed!), so I have had a lot of issues with creasing. The combo of primer and shadow doesn't budge or crease.The pinker colours definitely stain when applied directly to skin, ie for smoking out the lower lashes. I don't wear all over foundation so can't speak to if that acts as a barrier to staining. I imagine it might help prevent that. The staining isn't that bad. I only notice it because I'm staring at my own face, but it's something to keep in mind. Honestly, any heavily saturated neon/bright/hot pinks seem to stain for me.Additionally, this palette works beautifully when scraped into a powder and combined with Inglot's Duraline mixing liquid. You have to really work to combine it into a smooth liquid, but it's worth it when used as a liquid eyeliner. The two products play really well together.

NYX Professional Eye Make-up is perfect for my skin. When I find a gem, I want to share. The eye shadow does not crease or smear, it has staying power, the colors are beautiful with an excellent selection, I had no eye or skin irritation. The make-up is easily removed with soap and water or make-up removal wipes. I am picky with eye make-up. I have matured adult skin.

I got this palette to do some fun rainbow eye shadow for marching at Pride. It had great saturation in color and blended well. It held up in the heat. I got a lot of compliments.

No quality issues just not the best colors for me.
