Hose has performed well this summer
I purchased this to replace the Craftsman hose (great hose but heavy, leaves black marks everywhere) I used to have. MaxFLEX (MF) has a slicker feel to it that makes it easy to clean and doesn't leave marks in your hands. It's fairly pliable but I expect it will stiffen up a bit once Fall hits and temps cool down a bit.I've only used it this summer and I don't abuse my hoses (don't run over them with the car, wind it up after every use) so durability is hard to comment on although I've had no issues with it so far. Kink control is quite good. Of course, it can be kinked if used carelessly or you try to kink it but under reasonable use, it stays kink free. Hose feels very light to me but then I'm coming from the relatively portly Craftsmen hoses so this is to be expected.Overall, very happy with the hose so far. Hopefully, it will last for years and I can update this with positive feedback over time. :)That's it... hope this helps!

Learn from my mistake -- leave the hose unraveled in the sun for the first day.
I ordered my first MaxFlex 100 hose 9 months ago to be used on an Eley Hose Cart, and I just recently ordered my second one . I must admit that I was a bit frustrated for the first month of the original purchase, as the hose constantly kinked. It did, however, become kink-free after the first 4-5 weeks of use. Here is the kicker: I ignored the suggestion of letting the hose sit straightened out in the sun for a day before loading it onto the hose cart. For my recent purchase, I did let the sun do it's trick of softening the hose before loading it, and it made all the difference! Every hour or so, I would work the hose for 5 minutes to make sure it was losing it's packaged coil-memory. Because of that first day's work, I have yet to have a kink in the new hose.

Good quality hose the does not kink!
This is a nice, high quality hose that has not kinked after many uses. At first, I wasn't sure about ordering the 100ft length, but I'm very glad I did. It's amazing how many times I need almost the entire length to get around bushes and trees. My only concern, and the reason I gave it four stars rather than five, is the small occasional drip at the faucet due to the washer. I know I can fix that with a better rubber washer but haven't done it yet, because it's not a big deal. I just think the hose should have come with a better rubber washer.

This hose is fabulous! The 500 psi rating was a big clue...
OMG! This hose is fabulous! I don't write many reviews, but this product is just too good to not let others know. It's the best hose I've ever found and I've tried at least 16 in the last few years. I have over 2500 Tilapia, from tiny to over 3 pounds and have a dozen overpopulated tanks. We test tank chemistry daily and change out hundreds and hundreds of gallons of water weekly. That means the hose (with a PVC exit diffuser I made) has to hang over the side of the sharp edge of the tanks and I've built all kinds of anti kink devices. All that does is make even the best hoses kink somewhere else, no matter how we try to support or hang them (and I hold multiple patents and know a thing or two about engineering). NOT this one! No kinks, No where! Don't choke on the price, it is well worth it! I'm buying another one for the drain port on our pump!

Good Quality, But Not For Everyone
This is a high quality hose that should last forever, but my word is it heavy! It wore me out trying to drag it around the yard. And kink? It was forever kinked shut in several places, thus shutting off the flow of water. I'm a senior grandmother and this was just too hard for me to deal with. I finally gave it to my son, who was very glad to get it and thinks it is great! I suspect this hose is fine if you're strong and full of energy, but for older folks and ladies it's a handful.

Easy Roll Out/In
So far so good in the summer heat. The hose is real easy to roll out and in, especially with a hose reeler system. Have not tested in cold weather where problems usually exist with "kinking".

Do not waste your money on this hose
Well after 3 months it started leaking between the crimping and the coupling. I am sure that they all fail the same way. Now I can cut off the hose ends and play their warranty game. Of course I will go without a hose for a couple of weeks. Or I can go to WalMart and buy a hose with about the same longevity for less than 1/3 the price. Well you get what you pay for. At $70.00 I did not get what I paid for. Do not waste your money on this hose!Update July 31, 2016. What was leaking, the crimp connection to the hose, finally gave out and blew completely off. I contacted Scotts via their web site, and have not had any kind of response after leaving my email address as well as telephone number. The lifetime warranty is as defective as the product! I will not be purchasing Scott products of any variety from now on. Not even the cheapest hose I have had in the past failed in this manner.Update 08/11/2016 Finally did receive a reply from Scotts. They put me off to the manufacturer of the hose. They gave me the contact info for Swan Products who did honor their warranty and shipped me out a replacement which I received today. So I should be good hose-wise for a while. For those who need this contact information I am including it. Five Stars
Good quality product. No chemical smell. WE have LOVED this hose, and we have had it for 3 YEARS! I actually just got online to order another one so I am hoping for the same quality. I will say that we did uncoil ours and let it lay flat in the sun for a day, though (as recommended by the manufacturer). And we don't coil it back up often (just to mow) because it's usually running out to our garden.
