The strap is excellent quality, especially for this price point, It's thick, beautifully finished, comfortable, and really looks good on the wrist. I bought an 18mm as an alternative option for for my automatic anOrdain Model 1 GMT, but after just a few wears I can't see myself going back to the "real" strap any time soon!Like other reviewers, I would generally prefer a foldover / deployant clasp, but the two-step sliding buckle seems very secure and robust, and it is very simple to adjust perfectly to size. Together with the quick release spring bars, it makes fitting and adjusting the strap a pleasure rather than a chore.

I have a large collection of watches accumulated over years of searching for the 'master's watch.I have had to replace a good few poor watch bands. My preference has usually been a Milanese band for comfort. I recently obtained a Berny band. My opinion is that the Berny band is the pick of the bunch! The Berny Milanese band is far and away the best I have tried.

I'm glad the strap isn't for an expensive watch, I just wouldn't trust it. A previous mesh strap i bought had a kind of nato look to it which meant that it always wrapped fully around the wrist even when unbundled. This one opens fully which means its such a faff getting on. I dropped my watch several times doing it. Waste of money and the clasp is very weak and doesn't click shut with confidence.. id give it a miss.
