I have a rescue pit mix that destroys every single “heavy duty” toy I’ve bought her within hours. I’ve had it for months, she plays with it every day, and it’s still in one piece. She frequently slings it around by the “leaves” and they’re just now starting to fray a little. It’s difficult to get to squeak now, but this thing has been to war. Best dog toy ever

I really love this toy, but loved it much more while the leaves lasted. My dog, desire being 30lb, destroys toys. Just tears them apart. The carrot part has survived. The leaves, which gave a non-slimy throwing handle, took about a month to be systematically eaten like a rabbit to a real carrot. One leaf at a time.The leaves are weak compared to my fluffy dog. I think they would be to a smaller one as well. However, the carrot persists

I have two dachshunds. We've had these four at least two years and they are still in good shape. My boy carries it around like it's his little pacifier. He absolutely adores it. I will buy this toy over and over again. I'm going to look around on this brand and see what else they have to offer because I love it that much!

My lab loves this toy. We bought it twice, but each time it broke right in half. He’s recovering from surgery so we got something for him to chew to let out energy and this just didn’t hold up past two days each time.

I have a 8 y/o poodle who will mangle any traditional squeaky toy we give him within a matter of minutes. He is a force of nature, like a Viking. He plunders and destroys. He is *extremely* playful. He would play 24 hours a day 7 days a week if he could.I have read other reviews where the buyer said their dog chewed this up in minutes, but I don't even know how that is possible unless they have a dog with an extremely powerful bite. This thing is solid. It is very think and heavy, and has held up for a while now despite constant play. The "leaves" crackle, which is also fun for him. Getting it to squeak takes a bit of effort, that's how solid it is. I will usually just step on it a few times to get him worked up, then kick it across the room.So far I love it. I got tired of buying new toys that wouldn't even last a day with him.
