Let's be honest, men's hair care options can be a bit... dull. But as a guy with a touch of grey creeping in, I recently discovered a secret weapon in my wife's shower arsenal: John Frieda's Midnight Brunette Colour Deepening Shampoo. Now, I wasn't expecting a dramatic hair dye job. This shampoo is more about enhancing natural tones, and that's exactly what it does. It deposits subtle colour that deepens my greys and browns, giving my hair a richer, more youthful appearance. No harsh chemicals or weird blue hues here! While marketed towards brunettes, this shampoo works wonders for us greying gents too. It adds a bit of definition and counteracts brassiness, making my salt-and-pepper look a little less, well, salty. I wasn't expecting much beyond colour, but this shampoo is surprisingly good for my hair overall. It leaves it feeling soft and manageable, with a nice healthy shine. My wife even complimented my hair the other day (score!).

Absolutely amazing, as usual Mr Frieda. I noticed my hair was as dark and even richer in undertones in just the first wash. I’m always blown away by his products but this has saved me money and prevented hair damage through as I’ve not needed to colour it. So if you want richer darker brown hair all over (my hair was dark at the roots and medium throughout) then these products are definitely for you! Works extra well with Opalex bonding products too (longer results)

I love this shampoo and conditioner but was disappointed when I was supplied with 2 conditioner instead of a shampoo and a conditioner. I have kept as it will use but I’ve had to now order a shampoo. Won’t put me off buying again.

Before I used the products my hair was getting quite dry. Now my hair is lovely and soft. A bit pricey but well worth the extra money.
