Best entry level 1/10 scale truck under 200 dollars
I did not expect such a great 1/10 truck like this truck for under 200 bucks. I recently got into RC and I have had this truck for about 3 weeks and it is a blast. Battery life is great for the 2s, as you can squeeze close to 30 min run time out of it. The radio controller you get with it is actually up there with some 300 to 400 dollar ready to run packages. Made out of durable plastic and actually has foam wrapped around the steering control. Range is pretty decent, i didn't get anything accurate as far as max range but I would say it is a good 500 ft maybe less. The shell has taken a beating but hasn't cracked at all. The suspension and the rest of the chassis has actually stood up to some hard-core bashing with no breaks in steering linkage or anything like that. The speed is actually pretty punchy out of the box with the batteries that are available for it. You can fit a larger battery that supports longer run time as far as like a 2s 2000 or more milli amp battery goes, you just need straps to strap it to the body. Unfortunately, as far as 2s batteries go, there isn't many batteries that are made in this size to fit in the battery compartment.Only complaint I have that is my only con I am taking away is the rear diff actually just went out on me over the weekend. I was only getting front wheel drive. Took it apart and inspected the rear diff to find out the planetary gear that houses the drive shift hub broke in half so the diveshaft hub was very loose. The rest of the gears in the diff are fine however. I did order two new diffs today that way I can get back to running this truck. So after three weeks the rear diff broke on me. That is after pretty hard-core driving though, so I'm not sure if there is a warranty that covers those parts. That is the only reason why I gave it a 3 star rating for durability. Other than that I say this truck gets a full 5 stars for being more than what I expected for a 130 dollar truck.

Better than Xinlehong! Great car, fast, strong.
So i had ordered 2 of these one from Xinlehong and the other from hosim. The hosim car has better quality and design. Difference is better battery cover (double High), better shock absorbs (although still not great..or oil filled... at least these work). Both have metal gearing and 2 x 390 motors. The biggest differences are on the inside. The short and sweet, i have replaced parts in the Xinlehong 3 times over. The Hosim is still all original and these cars run the same space. (a base ball field... NOT EVEN 1 JUMP)I will say although they quote "water proof" this applies to the electronics alone. The rest of the car (differentials and bearings) will not have any harm to them from taking on a little water, the water will wash away the oil/ grease from these parts and therefor require maintenance EVERY TIME this gets wet. (even dew grass)I do find as well, although the shock absorbs were functional in the beginning they do loose "support" over time and really should be upgrade to a better quality set for the long haul. But overall? Id buy from hosim again. For the price i paid. 100% satisfied. Hosim also offers 90 satisfaction guarantee where Xinlehong offers 30.I did have to claim through hosim for a defective absorber (these really are the weak point of the car) but it was fast and no arguments were made. i called, and they shipped. fast and easy. 2 thumbs up HosimPicture, Xinlehong left (red) Hosim Right (blue)Update, xinlehong is dead, hosim still going. Had to replace differentials, cheap piece and back to racing.

Great build quality.
Absolutely great looking and quality RC. Packaging was very nice and clean. Operating the RC is easy and fun. App functions work as designed. Battery life is very low so I would recommend to purchase extra at that time. Low and high speeds are vastly different. My 7 yr old has no issues playing at low speeds. Would recommend this RC as it’s definitely worth the purchase.

Goes really fast! Can’t beat it for the money (I’ve researched)
This thing is a speed demon! High and low speed range. I am 28 years old and I think it’s great for the money!Coming back to further my review. My step son and I have fallen off into the deep end of the hobby because of this truck. I’d say it’s the benchmark for starting out and it cannot be rivaled by many others in the price range. It spanks the keliwow I got myself so we could both drive. The keliwow is a great machine, too. This hosim has a 60 amp esc and is 3s stable!! It’s a rocket! Bashing style with so much take off! It really performs well and I’m having a hard time stepping our collection up while staying under this budget. I failed actually lol... I picked up the hosim 1/16th scale and got another exactly like this so we can run together. Then I got a traxxis Erevo as well. About $290!! We are going to get redcat brushed rcs next. If Hosim makes a 1/8th scale like this in brushless we will be buying two immediately!!This truck is awesome. You cannot beat it for the money. 3 months later and we haven’t broken anything. Make sure the wheel nuts are tight on every run, though. This thing has some serious power!! All his friends are super jealous. Dylan is 8 years old and can rip this thing flawlessly. Runs about 20 mph in high on 2s lipo. Watch youtube videos on this machine!!

Great buy for the price, all metal drivetrain makes it worth it
Great truck for the price! It was bought as a gift for my 11 year old son, and he loves it. It has a tremendous amount of power, and the four wheel drive system works well, it pretty hard to get it stuck. My son quickly smashed the front bumper off, but it's easily replaced. The 1600ma battery that it came with provides adequate power and run time, but we upgraded to the 2000ma, and he can run that thing for almost 30 mins at full power! As a hobby truck, it's a great starter, but there is some cheapness in there (the suspension for starters). But the all metal drive train, and metal bash guards make it able to endure a lot of torture. You could spend $100 at Canadian Tire or the like, and get something that will probably break in a few months, or spend the extra $40 and get this. It'll last much longer, provide much more fun, and when something breaks, you order a new (and possibly upgraded) part, and away you go again. Definitely a good buy for the price, I'm impressed!
