The pink wire needs to be connected to the reverse light power. This tells the head unit the vehicle is in reverse and to turn on the camera. You also need to supply power and ground to the camera as well. You can share the same power supply for the camera and pink wire. Use the little red wire that is with the yellow RCA plug. That way you don't have to run a separate wire.
