If you don't know the answer to your own question best take the entire set up you plan to use to a competent gunsmith so it's "right" the first time.I bought this item and just saved it back for a rainy day but I used this one: Weigand Smith & Wesson K, L, N and X Frame Revolver Scope Mount. BlackI had a Model 19 six inch drilled and tapped for it and use a Nikon 2x pistol scope with double rings. At 100 yards from a rest you can cover all six rounds of 158 grain jacketed soft points with your hand. Pal of mine shot three rounds at a gong 214 yards out. He didn't hit it but was right there.I have EVERYTHING for pistols done by an excellent gunsmith. Sure, you gotta wait, sure it costs a couple bucks but it sure is nice to have it done right.

Q: will this fit a S&W model 19 ?

this scope mount fits my S&W mod. 28 N frame, also fits my S&W mod. 686 L frame will fit your S&W mod. 19 which is on a K frame if your revolver is drilled and tapped.

If you are adding this to an x frame use loctight.

Well made. Works well.Had it shake lose under recoil with heavy recoil and a stout optic.Used blue loctight and that stopped. The recoil lug on my optic is footprinting the front hole counter sink. Squashing it in a bit.If one ever was made of steel I would buy one.

Clean look, Easy to install!

I put this on my Smith and Wesson 460XVR and then mounted a SIG romeo 5. It’s a clean setup that really increases my accuracy on the range and in the field. I would certainly recommend and I may order another one to go on my 686.
