I had a bad first experience with this Corydalis extract. Although I usually carefully measure my powders, I just packed a 00 gel capsule full of this powder and took it because it seemed reasonable due to the recommended dosage. It actually helped eliminate some of my chronic pain in my head and in my knees for a few hoursnn which rarely happens. Corydalis is powerful stuff which has been used for Chinese medicine for a long time. The extract has been proven to be about 1/10th the strength of Morphine, which is quite remarkable, since morphine is the strongest prescribed painkiller out there.. except maybe Fentanyl, which isn't commonly prescribed. Anyway, that means this supplement should be helpful for a lot of people, and may help to get you off certain prescription drugs. But I think I either took a bit too much or just was super sensitive for my first dose.I experienced really bothersome side effects that lasted for about 14 hours until I went to sleep, which I struggled to do. I had effects that were similar to some of those you experience when you take shrooms. I felt something large constantly stuck in my throat, and my touch sensation was slightly off, kind of numb. My face flushed and my cheeks felt really warm. My heart felt like it was straining ever so slightly, but I wasn't sure if it actually was beating faster. I felt like I was out of it, slightly out of my body, and I just felt really uncomfortable about all of it. I would zone out, unable to focus on anything properly, and I felt pretty tired. But I found myself staring out into my room, thinking a lot of different thoughts, feeling almost self-conscious while alone. I had no human instinct to drink or eat anything, and I kept trying to force myself to drink water and tea to get rid of that strange, dry feeling and object in my throat. But nothing seemed to help it and all of my sensations were off kilter. It was weird and very uncomfortable, and I really didn't like it at all. I'd rather sit with pain than sit with those symptoms again...Start with a small dose! This is some super potent stuff, and it blocks your dopamine receivers, which apparently is what helps with your pain. But it works. For a while, I did feel some pain relief although the side effects became too overwhelming for me. They refused to go away for SO long. So now I'm too nervous to try it again, and I honestly feel comstant relief that my senses are back to normal. I'd say be careful if you're on certain meds, and especially psych meds. Otherwise, this could be the natural answer to your prayers... Start small! I'm afraid of experiencing the same, seemingly neverending negative side effects. Good luck, and I wish you the best!

This product does work for mild to moderate pain I would recommend.

I have been on, what seems, an endless search for a natural pain reliever for my fibromyalgia nerve pain. After two painful years, I have found relief up to 80% at times! That's phenomenal! At 160 lbs, I take 1/2 tsp for sleep and 1/4 tsp for daytime pain, every 5 hours. As a side note for other sufferers, Corydalis is also great for pms and other pains, like back pain.I understand that this plant is from the same family as the poppy, retaining similar effects as a pain reliever without the addiction or drug-induced high. In addition, your body will not grow resistant, which means you will not have to increase the dose over time. For future reference, scientists are also exploring other species within this poppy family. Who knows what else is on the horizon for chronic pain sufferers. And, thanks Bulk, once again, for this amazing savings.PS I put packed scoop in water. Don't stir. Corydalis will form into ball in the water or whatever liquid. Lift ball out with spoon and swallow like a pill, using water.

I haven't been on it long enough to notice a difference health-wise but the taste is pleasant and easy to mix in. It does clump but I use a small flour sifter that spreads it out evenly and it works great. I add it to my morning coffee.

Love this supplement. I was paying much more from another company for this supplement and I really appreciate Bulk Supplements as I can use as much as my body needs. Really has been helping with my arthritis. My mood as well.
