It works!
Holy cow. I wish I had taken before and after photos! I didn't really think this would work, but it did!I have a beautiful set of antique silverware that I've been faithfully polishing by hand for about 15 years. In preparing for Thanksgiving this year, I thought I'd look to see if there was a soak off product out there that would save me some time. I ordered these and a plastic tub for the sink, not expecting too much, but oh my gosh, it really worked.I put one silver packet in the bottom of the tub, piled all my silverware (service for 12, plus serving utensils) on top, touching each other, poured boiling water on top, and went about cooking. I noticed some bubbling starting to happen, but nothing really noticable happened for several minutes, but then I went back to the basin, and sure enough, I could see the oxidation had begun to lift off. After about 20 minutes, I shifted everything around with a set of tongs, and let it all sit another 20 minutes or so. I can't believe how clean evening came out.So glad I stumbled onto this product. I'll definitely keep it in my cleaning arsenal!

Product doesn't work, use Wright's
Total waste of money, the product barely worked. I tried this on a very tarnished bowl. It worked a little, but not much. I tried it a second then third time and, again, it worked a little but not much. I was going to give up on it then found some Wright's under the sink I'd forgotten about. Wright's worked immediately and brought about a gorgeous, clear, silvery glow. Use Wright's and just be done with it.

Decent Silver Cleaner: Does an Acceptable Job but Can't Beat Tarn-X
It Worked Okay! This product got my silver pretty clean, but it didn’t quite measure up to the standards of Tarn-X. I guess it’s tough to beat the original. While it did an acceptable job, I was hoping for a bit more shine and effectiveness. Overall, it’s a decent option, but I might stick with Tarn-X for those tougher tarnish removal jobs

Works fine. Follow directions.
I used to use silver polish paste and the results were ok. I wanted to go a bit farther as see if the silverware (mostly a few items from various relatives over time, nothing quite so wonderful as a "set", so a wide variety) to see if the silverware would actually get shinny. It does! This process is great! It took the silverware to a luster I had hoped for. Note well, follow the instructions. Use boiling water - I did. It needs the energy of the heat for the electrical process. Weird I know! Also, I tried to cheat the instructions and put in the dinner knives (wide blade, not steak knives). I rather thought the handles had some sort of blade-to-handle filler/glue of old style. Seems they do. One knife handle separated about 3-4 mm - way too much. Another handle wiggles slightly and will need support. All the others had a bit of darkening (able to clean manually) from the chemical reaction of the filler/glue. It is at that very tight fitting joint that the cleaning liquid seeps in and reacts. It was in the instructions to NOT use silverware with attached handles. I did and it really is a bother. So, follow the instructions. Next time I will take a tall glass, put the sachet at the bottom, put knives in handle down and add boiling water to just below the line. After a few minutes I will turn upside down and add boiling water to the blade up to just below the line. Easy. Smart. Just follow the excellent instructions and you will have glistening everything! Just no items with added handles, decorations, and I'm not going to use it on any baby spoons with enamel. Thanks for a great product!

Not worth the money
Time consuming and requires mire boiling water than is reasonable because the water must cover the entire item being cleaned. Unless you are just doing small items (silver table ware) you need to have a huge plastic tub and a means of adding several gallons of boiling water to it at a time to get the job done. A wast of money for larger items such as coffee or tea pots, trays or chaffing dishes.
