I expected that it would not work and it would be a hassle based on previous reviews. Desperate I gave it a try. We wifi at our marina but the signal was weak and kept losing the connection. Once this was installed the wifi was great.

NEW-UPDATE -I have wasted Sooooo much time trying to keep this thing running that I am done.I will find a similar product that works but this is NOT it !This has got to be the most frustrating gardware and software I have ever seen- I would rather do my taxes than try to set this system up one more time - buyer beware and good luck !Now I wish I could give this zero stars-Unbeleivably frustrating!ORIGINAL REVIEW:For all you google, alexa and smart home users, you will be happy to discover thatthis unit receives both 2.5g and 5g signals, but only transmits both signals in 2.5 GHZ.I did not see this advertised anywhere, but I hoped this was the case and it is!On the negative side, I received a USB cable that did not work. It would not make a secure connection to the outdoor antenna, and as soon as I installed the waterproof cap on the antenna,it would shut down the connection. it you have troubles with your unit look there.The seller shipped a new cable, however, I have not been able to test it out yet.Otherwise this is an awesome unit, and works much better than the camp pro 2.0 version.I also have the older camp pro 2, that only receives 2.5g.I am giving this unit 5 stars even with the usb cable issue.Oh - also, the software need a little improving - the software for the older 2.0 version was much better.Maybe I'll get into that later........Update- I installed the new usb cord and the connection is worse than before.There appears to be a problem with the outdoor antenna not the USB cord this unit is very sketchyIt operates great for a while and then I can’t get it to work for nothing!

This works awesome!! Found how to install on camper with no drilling and no holes. Put it up to camp- take it down to come home. I have 5G inside and outside camper. Only gave it 4 stars because it’s a bit hard actually getting connected-but once connected-awesome!!!

We used this to replace the CampPro2 which was mediocre for us. We have a large sailboat in a marina and are a long ways from the nearest repeater for WiFi. Our marina recently upgraded to 5g in addition to their 2.4g and with the old unit I could barely get enough bandwidth to watch Youtube. With this Pro3 I can not only stream everything I want in HD to our amazon TV (just like home) but I can do so using either band. With the old system we only got the spinning wheel of death when attempting to stream on the TV. The system was easy to set up and is much easier to use then the old one. When scanning for wifi this unit seems to have better range as we are picking up hotspots that we've never seen before. Well worth the cost and I am leaving this review from the deck of my boat right now on this system. We are very happy with it.

I’m another satisfied customer. Our marina only puts out about 3.5 MBPS’. I did a speed test sitting in my car next to their antenna. Our slip is 513 ft (per Google Earth) away from their antenna. We could see their signal on our iPhones but it did us no good as we could only get 1 bar to it saying “not connected to the internet”, I was so concerned about the distance, I went ahead and purchased a ALFA Directional antenna made for the CampPro. On the initial set up we stuck the Omni Antenna (The Directional antenna arrives this week). outside the cabin by the top side winches in a line locker. Ran the USB cable thru the companionway doors. We followed all of the hook up instructions. And BAMB, we had WI-FI at three bars (to our CampPro router) I ran the speed test and we were coming in at around 3:25 MBPS’. My wife watched Instagram reels before she went to bed with no problems. We couldn’t get cellphone reception before either as the marina is tucked into a protective hill. We were able to call out, take calls and send texts using the WI-FI calling feature on our iPhones! As I said earlier, we are another satisfied customer. Now we just have to hook up the new Roku on our older flat screen so we can start streaming!!! Can’t wait to get ESPN (for me) and Bravu for my wife!!! Highly recommend this unit!

I purchased one of these units. I tried to connect it and it did not work. Talked to Alex at tech support and he said to send it back to get another. My second unit did the same. I spoke with Alex again and he said it was defective. Now it's out of AMAZON reture window. Hopefully the company will return my money because I don't want another one.

I gave this only three out of five because it only worked three times out of five times. I set this up at home first to make sure it worked before our roadtrip. It was very glitchy at several RV parks, the finial nail in the coffin was the main RV park it needed to work, it could not pick up a signal at 400 feet with a direct view of the transmitting building. I sent it back like most other people did.

I absolutely love the CampPro 3. We had a Winegard and since we have moved to our full time spot it has never been able to relay a good signal. I had heard all the issues with campground wifi and had figured it was just the way things were. New neighbors said they were having no issues, so I researched and this product checked all the boxes for me.Easy to Assemble (took 15 minutes) and install. The only issue I had was getting the initial connection to the park wifi using the android app. It was a breeze with my laptop but the phone just couldn't keep the signal long enough. After that everything was great. I have had no drops and have several devices attached.
