Hat fits well and is easily adjustable. I don't think I will use the front piece since I'll just be fishing and not in a sand storm. With the front flap on, it's not as easy to breath comfortably and it gets too hot for me. Maybe in the winter it would be different. Regardless, since both the front and the sides/back are removable, I just remove the front and use it. I can tuck the side flaps in under the hat and still wear it comfortably, or you could take all the flaps off and wear it as just a hat. I ordered this sun cap to use for protection from the uv rays. It fit as expected and has removable flaps that can be used for added protection from the sun or mosquitos.
