Didn't need to buy multiple weights. You can add or decrease weight by pressing the lever and screwing another weight on or off. Takes up less space too.

By the way, I was a bit concerned about how the package would survive shipping, but no worries, this vendor actually takes the time to pack the item in several layers of foam to keep the item safe and intact when received, that alone is worth the 5 stars.
