I was working with a R134A AC system and I wanted to be able to do a nitrogen pressure test on the system before vacuum. And then I wanted to do the triple evacuation procedure which uses nitrogen to break the vacuum.I was able to rent a 40cf nitrogen tank for less than $20 locally at a welding supply shop.

Bought this to fill up my shocks and it worked as I needed it to. No leaks. It’s not very accurate and the adjustment handle is a little finicky. Seemed like it took some effort to adjust the pressure higher and would sort of jump with small turns of the handle. Not a very gradual rise of the needle. Had to play with it to get it to my desired pressure. Probably wouldn’t recommend for professional use. 4 stars for the value and the fact that it worked for my intended use.

At first the regulator seemed like it was leaking and not working right, but eventually I got it to work. When you unscrew the valve, it does not automatically release pressure but instead will hold it. Maybe certain regulators always work like this, but I wasn't aware. So if you want to reduce pressure you'll need to vent it to the outside. Other than that, the regulator worked fine. I pressure tested copper refrigeration lines to just under 500 psi and it held without any leaks for over an hour. Definitely worth the money and will be keeping for future nitrogen needs.

I was looking for a regulator to use to pressure test a refrigerator repair using a nitrogen tank. This solution worked reliably and didn't break the bank.

This nitrogen regulator fit my tank perfectly no leaks, it is very simple to connect and works well and seems accurate and is a good value for the price.

I was hesitant to buy this at the price. I however needed a cheap regulator for my nitrogen tank to fill my shocks on my utv. This regulator feels very well built it’s solid brass the gauges are nice and solid and it has the same look and feel of quality as my welding regulator that I have that cost 3 times as much. The gauges are pretty accurate as well when comparing to the digital gauge I was using within a few psi which is very good considering the broad range on the gauge. Once I got the regulator set it was dead on everytime. Would not hesitate to buy another regulator should I need another nitrogen or one for welding. The box also is well packed everything surrounded in foam to keep things from being damaged in shipping.
