Rather Dashing Games Dwarven Miner Board Game

I bought this for my son for Christmas after seeing Grant Wilson talking about the Kickstarter project on Twitter. I sat down with him (almost 15) and my 9 year old to play it and while she got bored and quit rather quickly, he and I had a blast and want to play more.There might have been some accusations of cheating coming from both sides of the table, and then there was robbing going on, it was really a fun game.I do not have anything to compare this one too because normally I am a Monopoly type of person, this is the first crafting game I have played.The artwork on each of the cards is beautiful. The game does not run to short or too long. It was just a lot of fun to learn and play and gave us some fun quality time to spend together talking, when we were not yelling at the other one for cheating.

We love board games! This one is a great game. I don't think it is one we would play every day but it would be one we play maybe once a month or so. It is worth buying for sure!One bad thing was it said it was new and it was. But there was no shrink wrap on the box when it came and just had 4 pieces of scotch tape on it and a big white price sticker on the back. I was not happy with that. We are game collectors and this was not the way it should have been if it was brand new.

Great game! Pieces are sturdy and well made. The game is great for two players (all we ever have). Never plays the same twice. Nice bit of strategy to go with 'some' luck. Theme fits well and artwork is beautiful.

If you like quick and easy table top games this is a great game to play! I am a paranormal investigator and I played this while on an investigation. It was great fun and stealing other players materials made the game really fun to play. The art is fantastic and the rules are simple enough.

I was at GenCon when this game was released and got to play in a demo game with its creators. The game is great to play. Mostly a solo game against the other players in a race to create goods for your patrons, there are some ways you can interact with the other players. You can steal their items, their vaults or take dice away from them. Or you can decide to get an easier patron that may give the other players resources, goods or extra points. The choice is all up to you in this game. I just bought a second copy so that I can play with more than 4 people (the only real downside to this game). I will just have to color the 4 game pieces so they are slightly different. The creators said they would have a 5-6 player expansion, but never did. A detriment, yes, but not nearly enough to lose a star over.

I love fantasy Dwarves. I am also a big fan of Grant Wilson, the artist who did the game. I participated in the Kickstarter and this game has been revolving around our gaming circle since.Dwarven Miner has a decent amount of strategy in it, deciding which Patron to support and when. Each of your opponents can do the same and quickly thwart your progress. The game doesn't have rules for trading, but they can be incorporated as house rules.My son and wife love playing this and it's a lot of fun. Highly recommended. =)
