This one has grown on me. Recommend it.
This book has actually grown on me over time. One of the things I didn't like, at first, was that it is short, but now I see that as a strength. The info is all there without having to wade through a lot of extraneous text and diagrams. Now that I have upgraded to Reason 7, I use it almost exclusively, and haven't touched Pro Tools for months. I am making music for myself, and mastering is not as critical as it is for pros who want to release perfect tracks.I highly recommend the program, and this book is a good way to start, even for long time users who have upgraded, like me.

I'm not happy, being that they claimed that Reason 7 Power ...
You are going to need Reason 5 Power, The Comprehensive Guide to go alone with Reason 7 Power -- to fully go under the hood of Reason. Reason 5 power, teaches you everything you need to know about Reason to operate it or any REAL studio in the WORLD for that matter, while Reason 7 Power is more of, this button is for this kind - of - THING. I'm not happy, being that they claimed that Reason 7 Power is for beginners, when in fact it leaves a lot of info out compare to Reason 5! The price should be lower down to $15.00 dollars.

Informative book, (and the only one I could find for this version of Reason).
Informative book, (and the only one I could find for this version of Reason). But the program is very complex, (for me, not being a recording or electronic music professional. I do find it fun but I sort of grope my way through it.)

Now if they Could just Do one for Reason 10.
Great book . Worth it for explaining the mixer interface alone. Plus Automation and Neptune. Even if you have newer versiobs of the program worth buying as it explains these oarts that havent changed since. Also alligator and Doctor Rex

Reason 7 Power
I am new to Reason and this book is fantastic.Every aspect of the program is explained in great details with a lot of images and exercises of what you are learning.Comprehensive it is and complete is a very good title indeed.I don't know if advanced users would appreciate it but for me, I don't think I would have found better help.

missing topics
I purchased this book on Amazon. Interesting . . . . there is no listing in the index on latency or even Preferences - two very crucial topics when working in Reason. A good resource: yes. A truly comprehensive resource: not quite.

Not worth the money.
A well written guide, but with large gaps in the subjects covered. I've since come to the conclusion that the "Help" files supplied by Propellerhead with the program are superior to, and more comprehensive than, this book. It's a much slimmer volume than the one I bought for version 5 by the same author. It's also about half the number of pages of the built in Help. A lot of pages consist of a screenshot or screenshots with the explanatory text limited to a few lines above or below the pictures. It's as if they'd never heard of text flow. A pity.

No es necesario
To da muy poco mas que la documentación de Reason. No volvería a comprarlo. A cambio, recomiendo "Power Tools for Reason 3.0" que tambien es muy util para Reason 9.
