Compact book with good information
While I am not a shy person with most people I am not the best at approaching women that I am attracted to. I figure picking up this book could give me a few tips. I am not going to lie, I also bought it for title and the cover...seeing the word "Destroy" made me laugh on the spot and I think the cover is hilarious. However, I found the book to be a good read. Charlie talks about a lot of topics such as: Symptoms of approach anxiety, causes of approach anxiety, strategies to overcome approach anxiety and more. The book is an easy (and many times funny) read that you can easily finish in 1-2 hours tops.I knocked the book down a star because I think that, when it comes to most of the men who really need this stuff, "destroying" approach anxiety is not just about knowing strategies to conquer it. It is about dealing with other central problems related to shyness. This is not conveyed in the book, so I think the book makes it look a little too easy. However, like I said before, in general the material is solid I think that it is worth a read.

Just read in 30 mins
A quick and easy read with good advice for those starting out in the dating world. Would recommend for those who are looking to start out in the dating world like myself.

"A must read for every guy that WAS EVER put into the VERY LONELY friend-zone."
This book caught me by surprise. I didn't expect it to be as closely related to my own romantic relationships, as it was (Many times throughout the book, I felt like it was someone who personally knew my own romantic history). If you were ever that "shy guy," or that "nice guy," who females that you were interested in, seemed "to always" just want to be friends - THEN THIS BOOK IS A MUST FOR YOU.

A well-written, comprehensive guide to building confidence and develop skills that will help you overcome anxiety
This book is a well-written, comprehensive guide to building confidence and develop skills that will help you overcome approach anxiety, especially in daytime situations such as in the street or in the shopping mall. I am always looking for good books and resources that will help me become the confident person that I want to be, and a colleague at work recommended this book to me because he found it really helpful (and used the tips to meet his current, very lovely girlfriend). The writing is direct, clear and well written (not sure what the other reviewer was talking about!). The author makes it very easy to relate the lessons he is imparting to my life and experiences. I really like how the author teaches real world lessons that will help you overcome your approach anxiety and be successful when meeting women.

A helpful book
This was a good book. It was interesting and well written. I don’t have extreme problems with approach anxiety but it still gave me some very helpful but simple tips for future conquests.

Not worth it
Poorly written, and it could have been summarized in a single-page article. I would not recommend this book to anyone.

Really really helpful
I had read numerous books on pickup subject. They all ignore the very important first step which is actually having the guts to approach the girl. Finally after reading this book I started approaching girls in daytime! At first it was very difficult but now I can approach any girl I want and even though English is my second language and I have an accent, I can have a conversation with almost all of them for at least 10 minutes. I am not saying that I picked up all of them. The book is not about picking up the girl. It is only about the first step (as the title says). I think the very simple approach that the book offers helps the beginners a lot to become more confident. the more you do it the more you enjoy!
