I tend to let my beard grow to about 1/8 in. then shave it off. This thing had difficulty with that. At first, it worked moderately well, but still took many back and forth moves to get the stubble. I tried rinsing the head every so often since it is supposed to be wet or dry. That made it worse. After about a month it wouldn't cut at all. The battery would only last for 2 shaves before it was too slow to cut. It also nicked me a few times.

I have never taken so long to trim a beard or goatee. This trimmer only rakes the hairs on your face and leaves them split. Yes it can do fine work but you have to get to that point sometime. I uses it about 1once a month. I had 3/4" long hairs and after 13 minutes of raking with the long guard I got nowhere but a soar face. I threw it out and ordered a conair that I had for 10 years. I have used this product less than 8 times so it can not be dull or miss use. If you want it it's in its original box in the garbage.
