Reese is a good brand name; this is well-constructed and well-specified on a sticker that is on the extension.
Great Extension. The ratings are clearly printed on the sticker on the Reese. It is rated to 300lbs tongue weight.Reese is a name-brand brand name; This should work easily for bicycle racks. This extension enabled my bikes to clear the spare tire on the Jeep. Please remember to heed that specification.A very important measurement to know about this device:What is the inside measurement from the interior weld joint to the rear-most lock-pin insert hole? 3.75 inches; So you need to measure your receiver accessories and make sure that the insert end of your items will clear the interior weld.It is common that you may need to grind several millimeters off the end of your receiver insert so that the lock-pin can be inserted without difficulty. Be sure to touch that up with some black exterior enamel paint. I am assuming that most of you will want to use this with a bike rack to gain clearance between the bikes and the vehicle (in may case, to make room for the spare tire).

Quality from Draw-Tite
Needed length for bike rack on Jeep Wrangler to clear spare tire, works just fine.

Works great with my Wrangler JKU
I bought this for my jeep wrangler to extend the receiver past the spare tire for easier trailer hook up and also for a cargo carrier. Hauled my camper to Florida with no problems. Mine arrived with no chips in the paint, no dings and stickers intact. I am quite happy with the product and so far I can't find anything to complain about.

Good but a bit loose
This performs as expected, with the exception that the part you insert into the receiver on your vehicle is just a bit too small (I'm assuming this is to account for stock receivers that may vary a bit internally due to manufacturing variances. This extension still works fine, but the size issue results in a fair amount of movement of whatever you subsequently attach to the receiver (like a bike rack). The solution is annoying but easy: Just cut up a soda can and insert some pieces (two seemed fine in my case) of the aluminum between this extension unit and the inside of your receiver. The result is a much tighter fit so whatever you have attached doesn't bounce around as much. Just don't cut yourself on the aluminum...trust me on that. This was perfect for extending my receiver past the larger spare tire on my jeep so I could then attach a bike rack.

Heavy duty
Heavy duty works great. Had a few chips in paint probably because it was shipped unpackaged. They just stuck a label on the side of it. Not a issue for me.

Poor Quality Control
Poor quality control, will work as advertised, but doesn't look like the pictures. Shoddy welding and extra flux all over the receiver end. Catches on clothing and vehicle carpeting.

Do not recommend using it if you are towing a regular trailer
Kind of pricey, but it fit perfectly on my Jeep Wrangler JK, which had a factory hitch receiver.Gave me over 8 inches of added clearance to eliminate interference with the spare tire when using a bike rack or hitch mounted carrier shelf.Do not recommend using it if you are towing a regular trailer.

Poor quality control by maker and damage from mishandling.
I gave this only one star because it arrived damaged. The packing wasn't the best but it appears the damage was done before it was packaged. I am guessing it was dropped on a hard surface such as a concrete floor. The biggest damage was to one corner that goes into the vehicle's hitch receiver. I had to file the deformed edge down to prevent it from binding in receiver. Also there was damage to other places, to the black paint/coating, from the impact.Another problem was weld splatter, from manufacturing, beneath the paint, on the larger end. Some of the splatter was sharp, some splatter was on the front edge where the 2" hitch would slid in. The splatter would interfere so I used a small chisel and file to remove them. Partial safety from cuts and partial proper fitment. Tried to get some good pictures to show this.
