This is the third 3ds battery I have had to buy, as the last two either did not fit or did not hold a charge for more than 2 seconds. I am extremely pleased to say this both fits and works perfectly. It took a tiny bit of force to get it to fit into the slot, though my 3ds may just be slightly warped from temperatures (last summer was torture). Very pleased with this battery.

This is a good cheap and quick replacement if your original or last battery is dead (mine started to bloat so I know I needed it out ASAP). Personally, I don't take my old 3DS out of the house much anymore, but if you're the kind of person that likes to take it out, have the charger at hand!It cuts the usual life span of six hours down to around three-four, and it gives very little warning when the 3DS is about to die. The intermediate "low battery" light of solid red will last you less than a minute and then die.But if you're more of a lay in bed and keep it plugged kinda gamer, then it should be fine for you.(The screwdriver is also an added bonus. It fits perfectly for the screws.)

Item was not as described saying it was a 3ds battery replacement. There was no information on the listing saying what kind of 3ds it was for. I've included both a picture of my original battery and the replacement and they're completely different. Complete waste of time and money!

We had a 2DS that wouldn't even boot up any more. Two screws opened the back, pop the cover off, swap batteries, button it back up. Working like new again. We haven't yet played enough to drain the battery, so I don't know if it will hold the charge like the original battery. As a plus, it came with its own tiny Phillips screw driver -- which I then used to fix the nose pieces of my eye glasses.

Ok, so this is clearly a cheap-o chinese knockoff battery. It is labeled as 2,000mAh, but this is clearly false advertising. The original 3DS battery that Nintendo shipped is labeled 1300mAh, and this battery is slightly bowed in towards the center. The cells are physically smaller.I bought this in the hopes I'd be able to increase my 3DS's battery life, but it ended up shortening it. If your current battery is awful and barely holds a charge, this is worth the price. If you can get about 90 minutes out of your battery, don't bother.
